	I skipped the DS Lite. It didn't have much that it improved upon over the original.

	I first bought the DS Lite for my birthday in 2007 along with D/P and they diddn't have the first model so i just got the lite. -------------------

	That kind of sucks. The original is the durable beast of portable gaming. I've had mine dropped and bumped and my sister (accidentally) threw her keys at it once, and other than that one red pixel that was there when I got it, it works perfectly fine.

	The Lite was the only DS I ever got. When my first one broke, I just got another one because I refused to fork out extra for a gimmicky DSi.

	I'd've done the same, though. I wouldn't have been able to live with having a bunch of GBA games and not being able to play them.

	Got the original ds for my birthday couple of weeks after it came out. Had it ever since, one of the hinges has come off so the top screen is kinda hanging off only being held by one side. I also lost the stylus and the charger. It lasted me for 5 years which is good, but it is about to be obsoleted (imo) so I'm getting the 3ds. -------------------
