	Log in to remove this sponsored message I just ordered Black online today, and its going to arrive tomorrow After watching the anime a bit, I like Oshawatt the best, and it also means that I get to battle the amazing Cilan at the first gym But is it a good choice in the long-run? I noticed that there is a Electric gym. 	A pure water starter has always been a good choice because of having just two weaknesses. People can take advantage of that and be comfortable with battling the other types. I say go with Oshawott. It will be a trustworthy companion in the long run. -------------------

	I went with snivy, but as far as I can tell, tepig is the best in the long run. Especially considering that emboar is the only one of the three used competitively. -------------------

	What he said. Anyways you get to capture Sandile after the bug gym. That allows you to battle against the Electric gym. Besides that, Sandile is also strong and leveling him up into a Krookodile is even better. For the first gym, go to the dream yard and pick up the monkey. After the first gym though, I recommend you put it in storage.

	Oshawott is my personal favorite, iirc his stats are well-rounded.
