Not to be rude, but have you guys ever noticed how not judging is just excuse after excuse? Not saying the excuse aren't legitimate, but this is part of the reason people leave. Their sprites don't get judged because the judges aren't doing it. I know real life comes first, but when you become a judge you take a responsibility upon yourself to actually do it.

Yes. It is criticism, but isn't that how people get better? Don't you enter sprites into the contests for criticism? That's how you get better. The old days when people like FourthBeat and Artirtico were in charge was the best. Not trying to insult these days' judges, but they have some work to do to be up with those guys, but how would they know unless someone points it out?
Also, I do understand it is advertising on another forum, but spriting is spriting no matter what forum it's on. Just like Neoseeker, SPPf has been losing activity. SPPf has some fantastic spriters. I have that in my signature to get people on both. Practice makes perfect, correct? The more contests you can enter (where SPPf does it weekly, not constantly putting it off) the better you can become.
Also have I not been entering sprites? Are you kidding me? Last time I checked, judging was supposed to be 14 days ago. It still hasn't happened. I DID in fact enter a sprite for this round, but how am I supposed to enter more if there's not a new theme for me to enter?

No. I don't honestly do not see anything weird in anything of me. Weird wouldn't be a good word to use for your attacks. Expand on your vocabulary?

I wasn't trying to start an argument, and I still don't want to...
With that said, I'll apologize if my comment seemed offensive to you, NickAlert. Maybe it didn't sound as I meant to, but that's probably because English is not my primary language...
So, I shall now let the judges judge, and call for we spriters sprite and not argue.

And what's that kthnxbai thing?? That sounds really strange...

NickAlert has a point, guys. Hate to be a negative influence, but if judging doesn't get done, people lose interest. And I mean real judging. None of that "here's a grade, I don't have time for comments". That's not judging, that's grading. There is a difference. I never did that. I never would.

If the two of you can't handle getting judging done in a reasonable amount of time, then you need another person. There are plenty of capable people around, just pick one. Hell, pick two. If it's been two weeks and neither of you can handle it, there's no shame in asking for help. If it's a tough time for you guys, do a round of trial judges to give you guys a few weeks to get reality under control and make more time for judging. There are ways to deal with things, or there are excuses which just push things back and doesn't solve the issue.

I'm not calling anyone out. I've judged longer than probably anyone else in the spriting contests here. I've managed up to three contests at once. I know sometimes you just don't feel like doing it. I know life gets busy. I know that it gets difficult and you can't always meet deadlines. But you need to take action to fix the problem, rather than just push it off and put a bandaid on it.

Tough love from someone who's been there. I want to see these contests as good - better, even! - than when I ran them. I know you guys are capable of it.
