That's not really evidence. I haven't run across a single Maractus yet there - doesn't mean they don't exist there nor that they are waiting for some magic unlock event to happen.

Essentially, you were unlucky. I ran across a Sigilyph before even making it to Relic Castle itself (I was down at the bottom of the map). I remember it because it threatened to sweep my team until I KOed the sod with Darumaka.

Catching a Sigilyph is somewhat a normal rate for me around the dark part of the sand in the desert resort. I search around the backpacker's area shaped like a cross.

Black - Sawk is in normal grass patches and Throh is in shaking grass patches.

Pre E4, the only place is in the grass to the south of the road, just outside Pinwheel Forest. The same place where you go though to get your daily Star Piece from the Challenge Rock.

Sigilyph is the only pokemon I don't have yet.. i'm tired of looking for this effer..

Where do you actually select the fossil? The Relic Castle?

You didn't have to bump an old thread, you could have just made a new thread.

But yeah, you select a fossil in the Relic Castle. You can also get one daily by some guy at the bottom of Twist Mountain.

I was trying to find out what he meant by "finding the fossil before finding a Sigilyph, I'm currently searching for one too."
