Electric types affect Rock now?! - Page 4

Ok this may sound crazy but I kinda agree that, for whatever reason, electric attacks work on brock. I know his pokemon are dual-ground so it shouldn't, but I'm playing a rom (vizzed.com) and just killed brock with my pikachu. At first I thought that it's just that something's wrong with the rom, but it seems like a really good, well-made rom and that's just too big a mistake to make. So I googled it to find out about why this happened, if there's certain items or whatever that makes electric affect ground (I had a light ball) and I found this.

Seeing the other responses claiming electric worked on brock in yellow... makes me think that back then, first gym, electric pokemon, ...maybe it was a special thing they put in the game then. I'm not too sure because I possibly vaguely remember not being able to beat brock but then I think and I picture a thundershock hitting and... well I can't remember. Ha ha, I don't know but I want to see where this goes

Light Ball didn't even exist until the GSC days. =/

Like I said, this was a rom. Erm... but I do remember not being able to hit his pokemon with electric in firered/leafgreen (what the rom's based off of) ... And I noticed that all onix/geodudes I battle in the rom are hit. Haha so it's probably a mistake with the rom.

I could have sworn I remembered it working in yellow though. Maybe a certain requirement has to be filled?

I just played yellow and it does NOT work (this was a rom too but for the actual yellow version).

Is this thread all about one tiny little thing? So what if an electric type move makes your little Roggenrola faint, it's not like you take it to the Kanto region and put a tomb it the Lavender town cemetary! You can always revive it. Roggenrola is a regular old rock type. Discussion over!
