Easy?

Will the game be just as easy as Platinum is? I'm playing through it with basically just two Pokemon - Staraptor and Torterra. They're not EV trained (although their EV's are maxed), have not been specifically bred for natures, or, and have only average IV's.

However, they have the following movesets -

Close Combat (with the Fist Plate)
Agility
Quick Attack
Aerial Ace

Giga Drain (changes between Grass Boost, Earth Boost, Dark Boost, and Quick Claw).
Synthesis
Earthquake
Crunch

As such, there's only the Flying and Dragon Type at the moment that I can think of - and with Staraptors attack and Aerial Ace, I'm two hitting pretty much everything with it.

The main one I had issue with was Candice's Froslas - it was faster than my Torterra and it's Blizzard OHKO'd it (Hail, from the Abomasnow), so I had to use my team to soak up the 5 Blizzards, and then swap for Torterra to use Crunch, but other than that, I've powered right through, with just these two Poke's - and they're far more powerful than my others due to the Type Coverage and power.

So my question is - is it really that easy that I can do the same again?

I think this time around, you're gonna need more than two pokemon...

My fault, i totally misread your post.

You can always set your rules like no pokemon should be higher then the gym leader or mono type run but the games will always be easy since they are aimed at kid's.

There were moments in Diamond/Platinum weren't to easy for me like Sinnoh elite 4/Final gym battle.

My in game team had 4/6 weak to dark attacks and I ran through it without grinding or anything. I had a harder time with the Psychic E4 trainer than the dark one too.

You basically can't solo the game with any one mon anymore because of the change to the experience formula, so expect to need at least 4 regulars.

wow.someone that recognizes that games are played for fun not difficulty.i mean y'know i love a good challenge but,better then that is a fun challenge.

Yeah all pokemon games are fun, well except the first half of G/S since it's laughably easy.

Emerald's champion Wallace was dissapointing as well.
