EDIT: Roundup ninja'd quote LizzSo I ended up playing with legendaries again (shocker rite XP). I've been semi-hiatusing at Serebii during school, and spending a good chunk of time studing other spriers. Anyways, I seem to have scratched the living daylights out of almost every part of Butterfree I used  ...not one of my better ideas. The wings were inspired by Vaporeon, and the tails are from two different frames of Vaporeon. The antennae are inspired by Milotic. Below is the original fusion so you all can see it. I'll be updating the Hall of Fame and such on Monday(one of my amazing friends at school taught me how to dodge the blocks  )-------------------

 Made from Mewtwo and Genosect. Judging Time! quote platypus2goC- My main problem with the sprite is...what is it? It looks like a bunch of random pieces from different pokemon copy-and-pasted all together. Apart from that, there's not much wrong. However, the little strand things coming down from the sprite only have an outline on one of the sides. quote MusixMaLyfC Like the last one, I can't really tell what it's supposed to be. I know that it's a sort of bug with wings. But on the face, I can't really distinguish an eye from a nose from a mouth, etc. Apart from that, the outline is really choppy, and a lot of the shading is too flat. quote Light SpiritC+ First of all, what's with the black background? That's my main problem, try to use white or transparent. Apart from that, this had potential to be a really good sprite, but it has some cosmetic issues. These are mostly on the arms, where the hands and the arm meet, it's really flat. Also, there's no distinguishing the hands from the arms, the light arm color just connects with the light hand color. quote 4EverSeaMusic247C- The shading on this sprite needs serious work. When flipping a piece of a sprite, always fix the shading so that it comes from the top left. Also, the outlines need a lot of improvement. They are extremely inconsistent. In some places, the outline is far too thick, and in some places, the outline is far too thin. In other places, it's non-existant. quote TheFuryB- I'm actually quite fond of this sprite, it has clean fusing. Good shading. Simple, but effective. However, for the retype, I don't really see anything that makes it water type. The only thing i see is a recolor. You need to do more than that. quote PowerSlaweB- I have to admit, this isn't your best sprite... It needs a lot more shading. Also, the lines going down the tail are weird. They're the right color, but then they have extra dark pixels in the middle. But if you fix these two problems, this would've been a really great sprite.  quote MonarchFan92C- In the spriting world, you're going to need to do a LOT more than just adding eyes to a head. This sprite actually doesn't have too much wrong, but it's too simple. And it's not one of those "simple, yet effective" sprites. quote LizzehA Wow, you SUCK. (just kidding) C: Oh Lizz, you never fail to impress.  I honestly love this sprite. My only problems are that the tail-thing closest to us is flat, and the antennae don't really look right. Yes! I didn't do completely horribly! Sorry that I didn't fit the theme better, though . . .
This time I present a tough recolor, the Vengeful Phoenix. Accompanying it will be a short story. The phoenix cried out in sorrow as its child was taken away from it. The phoenix screeched with pain as it was beaten and abused for being different. The phoenix stopped making noise as the tower it was imprisoned in was burned down. A year later, the phoenix once again rose from the ashes. Its former beauty was gone, and its feathers were a dull gray. The phoenix teared up as it saw what it had become. The phoenix grew angry as it realized who did this to it. The phoenix let out a fearsome screech as it realized what it wanted: revenge. Sorry if that dark thing made anybody upset today. Anyways, the sprite used a Ho-Oh for the base. The recolor was done with the black part of a Hippowdon and the grey smoke of a Torkoal. The red eyes and blood are from the red parts of a Milotic, and the glowing aura is also from Torkoal. I also put a copy of the sprite on a black background to make the aura stand out more, but this is only to highlight its presence.  Edit: Oct 18, 10 | |
