Sounds like an idea, aslong as people actually submitted entries. The one in the FIFA09 forum went well for a while then just died on it's arse.

Right, I'm going to specifically request something.

The removal of all topics/posts that discuss/endorse/guide any cheat or exploit within the game.

Why?

Because it snowballs. There's an example in the last forum (or 09, can't remember this late), there was a thread created where the title was something along the lines of "How to do the dream team glitch".

All the other threads had a view count of around a few hundred, thousand at most.

This was in the hundreds of thousands.

It brought hundreds of thousands of individual visitors to the forum, purely with the intention ot trying to cheat. Not only is that not what you want, but if you remove any sign of how to cheat you do just that little bit to make it harder for potential cheats to ruin the game for people, like me, who play the game fairly.

If there were to be discussion about any exploits, surely they could be held in the complaints thread if someone came across them and wanted to rant. I disagree with the topic of cheating/exploiting the game being openly discussed, but more annoyingly publicised.

I spent a while yesterday trying to find it but I think it was deleted. Some of the old regulars may remember it though.

And the problem isn't discussing it, it's that by telling people how to do the cheat, it spreads it. Quickly. Snowballs. Getting a hundred thousand views is a very bad thing if none of them stick around, or even check anything other than how to cheat the game to gain an unfair advantage.

Regardless of if it's a site rule or not, I just think it makes logical sense not to publicise cheats within the game, as it just ends up ruining the game for everyone.

Well since we've changed it, we were clearly inclined to agree with you. No one likes online games being ruined by cheats. FIFA 09 was the perfect example. We don't need Neoseeker to come up top in a Google search on how to perform a certain cheat, and not talking about how to do it will prevent that.

However, discussion of cheats IS still allowed, and as much as most of guys may not like it, I hope you will simply ignore the thread if you don't want to discuss it
