I have played tropico and installed it on my computer, got board of it and uninstalled it, then got interested again and attempted to install the game. EVERY time at 25% a messange came up that said it couldn't find Data3.cab so i downloaded a version of data3 and put it in the program file i was installing tropico to. When it tryed again it said it couldn't find Data2.cab. I did the same as data3 but it gives me the same messenge. Its not the Cd because i just installed and played it on my moms computer. I WANNA PLAY THIS GAME!!

I have problems with my disk too. I can install it fine, but it won't let me play it, the message that comes up is "the program needs the CD-Rom to regonize the game or whatever, Error 1001."

I wish mine played too, hope someone has a solution, but I think I just got a cheap-a's copy or they rushed or have a cheap factory that use to create their CDs.

It worked fine for the first year, but then I didn't play the game for another year and now it doesn't work.

you may need to clean the disk
