Something that's been bothering me...

This started with Tri's online experience and has carried over to my Ad Hoc experience with Portable 3rd, but I've been encountering way too many people who just want to blaze through the Low Ranks. Anyone, like me, who just wants to gather up a collection of decent Armor and Weapons to make Offline Village Quests easier just gets left behind in the dust. This rather hasty, noncommittal attitude has always bothered me about the people that play Monster Hunter online. On Tri my Roon file is High Rank, I have a lot of weapons to choose from with various elemental properties. If any Low Rank or early High Rank person needs help making a basic armor with which to progress to the next level with, I'm more than happy to grind monsters over and over again like Qurupeco or Rathalos. I hate rushing through everything and like to enjoy playing the game, not doing things in a frantic, hurried way. Especially on Portable 3rd, I feel like due to my Low Rank status and lack of decent gear that I'm dragging the group down in some way. Is there anyone out there in AD Hoc land that has a large degree of patience and willing to help me out on Ad Hoc Party? I just can't seem to find any that will play consistently with a Low Rank person that just wants to get better things so that I can be more formidable and not get knocked around by monsters so much.

I do have Kai installed on my computer as well, but I have no idea how to set it up. If there was only someone who could walk me through the process it might make setting it up a lot easier.

As I mentioned at MHFU, arcliff's guide was the first one that worked for me. Arcliff, do you spend any time on Kai? If not, make an appearance. The last few weekends have been pretty packed for a game that's a few years old.
