I don't remember hammer is bad on dialos. But I used LS on diablos lately, and it is OK. Been farming tickets from diablos and uragaan even quest. I think I done this quest once with hammer. I don't think it is too hard, so it didn't go my memory. I will repeat it to see how is it.

I aim for the head, and a hammer without minds eye will bounce off a blos's head, I like to use hammers on Rathian and Rathalos, makes them easy

For LS, I feel the regular triangle attack kind of slow, especially from unsheath position. Sometime I feel like same speed as half of GS 1st charge for that attack.

True, but many combos can link up with it, and it has lotsa reach and good damage.

After finishing my Blademaster Silver Sol Armor, i now finished the Gunner Silver Sol Armor. Time to finally Blast Amatsu in its Rear (or in this case the Head)! :D

Did you use low rank equipment? I will try to see if I can beat them with my yamato set and low rank jin hammer. But it may take awhile for me to unlock the quest since I didn't do village quest yet. I don't think I can beat them, jho still one of my worse monster. Tiggy my most easy, and narga still a pain.

Just fight many diablos with hammer lately, they are not too bad. I have to agree that his damn head is extremely hard. I can't do tripple pound on his head when he is down. After bounce couple times on his head, I use only super pound on his head. This attk has ESP build in so no bounce and quite strong. After I broke both his horns, go for leg and tummy. He fell down like crazy for free combo. If you don't need horns, just go for his leg and tummy, hammer turn out one of the best melee weapon on dialos, IMO.

You have to be one of the best to beat them with low rank equipment. If I am lucky, may be I can beat them after at leat 10 try. My guess is jho will get raged and kill me 3X.

oh, i can manage the Jho without much trouble, he barely ever hits me tbh, but the narga and tiggy always *bleep* me up :/

It's possible, I did it with Urukusu maxed with hard armor spheres and Jins LS xp

Amazingly, I had 14 seconds remaining until quest failed...

Usually, I used all my potions on Jho when I used axe. Hopefully, I will be better with hammer or LS on him. I kill tigrex and narga with only herbs left, but that was not too bad. They seem to be fast, but they are quite easy. If you run after tigrex only, you are out of harm most of the time, and tigrex constantly charge. Also, when fighting 2 mosnters, just attack only one of them, even ignore free hits. If both get in raged at the same time, the fight become much harder. Also, when attack tigrex, go a little further under him. Then roll to his tail after he turned around. LS R combo with a final extra step forward is very safe after his charge. If you are good with jho, I think you can beat them with low rank.

I tried GS on narga and jhen. Perfect 3rd charge is still crapy. LS R combo, DS demon dance, and hammer triple pound do much more damage than GS. It is not good enough as 1st choice weapon. In Unite, carry a GS and whack the monsters on the head so cool. I don't have that feeling in this game. It is so uncool in MH3rd.
