Yes, that means you're converting a legit pokemon from in-game to pkm file. By converting the pkm file back into in-game pokemon, it's essentially cloning.

And no, you can't. You can evolve them only through trade. Try finding help by posting up a trade request thread.

Not quite GeoHulk. Technically you can evolve them through game save manipulation, but you won't get the credit in your Pokedex for it without either turning it back into an egg (it's possible to do this while keeping the level and moves the same at least in Generation V) or trading it to someone and then getting it back.

Okay guys, thank you. Just flashed another questions:

1.If I open my HG with gamesav, then click Save on a Poke, then load it with Black, am I getting a legit poke? I don't have any method of legit transfer, so this is it.

2.On HG, how to get good IV'd Latias? (I don't have the damn ticket that leads to Latios), so I'm getting the roaming. I mean, I can deal with EVs but not IVs in this case.

1) Definitely a no. That's not a legit method of poke-transferring. You can try downloading KazoWar's Poketransfer program though.

2) If you do not know how to RNG-abuse, IV is pretty much luck and the nature cannot be sychronized since the release of Latias into the wild is not an encounter. You can try catching the Latias before saving, checking the IVs, then restart the game again. Afterwhich you can faint the Latias and revive it by battling E4.

EVs and IVs are two separate entities. You cannot train the IVs of a pokemon. They are set and cannot be changed. The only way to have a good IV'd pokemon is to catch or breed another one.

For battling, it will be best to use flawless pokemon instead of pokemon with haphazard IVs as you would want the best team on your side. IMO, don't EV-train those pokemon compulsively.

Well, if you're talking about in-game, I don't think the NPCs care if your pokemon are EV'd or not.

I usually beat the game first, complete the storyline, and then move onto other things such as breeding for IVs.
