I wasn't trying to be Miss Negativity, I just thought I'd throw some points in that others hadn't mentioned and I am glad someone has explained my points. I don't think it is going to fail at all, I'd just like to see where the positioning of the logo will be on other PokeForums. Also, I thought people would relate to the Neoseeker logo we already have sitewide. But the community likes it so I am up for it.

I think the poll idea is good since it takes everyone's idea into consideration. Although, I am on Team Jirachi with bluesandcoke and DannyB01

Just saying, I don't think anyone actually said it was necessary. It's just supposed to be something fun and new to try. If it doesn't work out, oh well, if it does, then we're not any WORSE off. If you don't like the idea, then you don't have to support it. But obviously some people would like your support, so they're trying to tell you why they support the idea.

Also, I think that Empoleon or Prinplup would be good choices cause of Redemption's Penguin.

In my opinion, it won't matter which Pokeforum the suggestion gets posted in because it involves the said Pokeforum as well.

And most, if not all, the moderators of the Pokeforums were notified about the suggestion. IIRC, only Phi and Aether who are the mods of General Pokemon, and JesseTheKing of Clans have yet to give their input on the matter. The rest opted to wait and see how it goes first.

Ultimately, even if it was posted in the General Pokemon, the idea can't start in the said forum without the approval of its mods.

I don't really see the need to justify the location where this suggestion ought to be made in, as the suggestion can be escalated upwards/sidewards appropriately if needed, if the idea can be applied in other Pokeforums. After all, I am just a user in the Battles Forum who feel that it could use a more concrete identity and I was just wondering if other Pokeforums are interested as well.

If its that big a deal where it is, just post a link to here in the Feed back thread in Gen. If you haven't already

Or the moderator of this forum could split the thread, rename it, and moved it to Gen Pokemon.
Doesn't make a difference because if people are contesting on where the suggestion ought to go to, then they are focusing on the wrong thing, as the people who could be interested in it (mods, pokeregulars, whatnot) were made known.

Thanks for the heads-up! Good to know General Pokemon is in as well. Gives the idea more substance to pull through, as easy as it seems.

I could start anew in Gen Pokemon then since Icekickseverything is reserved about developing and implementing the idea in Battles forum.

Depends on what people want to use the mascot for. It could pretty much be anything under the sun that can be represented by graphics.
