Got around to the last episode yesterday and it didn't disappoint. Intense show down.
quoteYou catch yourself rooting for Dexter only to realize that you're a terrible person for doing so. And that's awesome. Each episode brings something new, while having a continuous mystery the whole time.
The bit where he goes to the old house and finds out it's his brother, I was fast forwarding and imagining Dexter being implicated or caught by the cops, and I really didn't want it to happen. It's a testament to the shows script writers and the way Michael C. Hall plays him that he's such a morally ambigious character for us to watch.
He's the villain with ethics

. So even though like you I know you shouldn't root for him, I find myself agreeing with the idea behind what he does and I like it. And I'm sure I'm not the only one!
