Glad they didn't continuously degraded after the Lumen season and Travis one. I didn't quite enjoy those seasons.

I'm calling it quits if Doakes is somehow alive. Some shows just go on for too long.

But honestly, I can't remember where I read it. I think it was at the start of the season on Cinemablend or something before the Koshka Brotherhood got introduced. I specifically remember it citing how that storyline was replacing his storyline, which now I find funny since they both sort of wrapped up mid-way through the season.

I think they cut off the Louis plotline because too many people were coming onto it, and they wanted it to be a surprise! And the whole Koshka thing was well done, in my opinion.

But really! Man, it's taken this long, and now Dexter seems to be going the route his brother Brian wanted him to go originally. Brian couldn't understand the code, and recognized it was just him wanting to kill, and now Dexter is doing the same... almost like he's growing up! Except I think it was better with the code... Glad to see Harry back in the preview, though.

s07e12 - "Surprise, Mother*bleep*er!" (SPOILERS!)

Don't know what you were watching and expecting, because that episode was torturous. With all the flashbacks with Doakes and all the shit going down, I kept looking down at the clock as the seconds and minutes winded down on the player, not knowing exactly how this season would end.

But I was thrilled when this episode started out with Dexter being arrested. I was figuring the season would end this way, so I was glad to get it done with early so it wouldn't be used as a cliffhanger. Was even more thrilled during that interrogation when LaGuerta got set up herself. LaGuerta is such a bitch, especially in that scene with her and Deb about the gas station footage, which I knew would come back to bite them in the ass. But when Dexter had Estrada, I was hoping he would kill both him and LaGuerta and make it look like Estrada did it or vice-versa with LaGuerta killing him, to make it seem like she was trying to set Dexter and Debra up and ended up getting killed in the process.

When Debra showed up, I was glad she shot her. It's something I've wanted from Season 1, along with Deb dying too. haha. If they didn't get rid of the evidence, it's easy rectify... just say Debra was checking up on both of them (Dex and LaGuerta) since neither were at the party. She put out a search on LaGuerta's vehicle, heard from dispatch she was going to the shipping yard, decided to follow up, heard shouting, found the two of them, LaGuerta killed Estrada and went to aim at Debra, so she shot LaGuerta. OR, use the knife to dig out the bullet, erase all evidence that Deb was even there, make it seem Estrada stabbed the *bleep* out of LaGuerta and in self defense shot and killed Estrada, but died in the process as well. She dies a hero. But since the episode ended with the two of them at the party, I'm going to assume they got rid of the bodies. haha.

Loved Deb and Hannah's interaction. Since she shot LaGuerta, it's almost a certain that will play an even bigger toll on her next season. No idea what's going to happen but who cares because Hannah McKay lives and is on the loose!

1) I never stated that the Luis stuff would happen, only that it was interesting and a legitimate opportunity for Dex to have another lucky out. The fact that it didn't happen doesn't make it stupid in the slightest, but I'm glad you got some enjoyment out of it. You did tell me the Luis stuff was dropped, congrats - but you still couldn't supply a source, nor could I find one myself which is why I asked in the first place. I liked to think the writers knew what they were doing, but they've been off the ball since season 4. This season was miles better, but I still think the final minutes were poorly done. Perhaps that will change when the new season arrives and we see the aftermath.

2) Who cares if Hannah's on the loose? She's just as loose of an end as Lumen is/was, and as a missing prisoner, she's not even close to safe in the state of Florida. Dex will probably get word of her going to Argentina, and we'll never see her again (unless it's some sort of cameo thing).

3) There were so many opportunities lost with the ending of this season, and they go with Deb making a decision to shoot Laguerta. Deb is now a cold blooded murderer who saved her serial killer brother from someone just doing her job. I hate LaGuerta as much as the next person, but she didn't need to be killed off like that. I'd have much rather her been made to look even more like a fool than she already was made this episode by setting up Dexter, so to speak.

4) What were the point of the Doakes flashbacks other than to have him back on the show and give us those hilarious one-liners again? "You glide, like a lizard on ice" lmao Honestly though, those scenes only consisted of shit we've pretty much seen already, only this time in Dexter's thoughts.
