it was more like the boy tripped and fell on her needle, she then threatens another boy saying she killed a fat boy but I really doubt you can say "she killed him". they really are tip toeing around key characteristics in the book from, the show is a lot more relaxed.

s02e09 - "Blackwater" (SPOILERS!)

The only episode this season to be written by George R. R. Martin and quite frankly, the best episode of the entire series! Didn't he write Episode 9 of season 1 too? I know he wrote one of them near the end of the season, just can't remember which. Didn't think they would actually show much of this battle, but damn if they did. Someone told me something about a giant chain and a bridge on fire, but meh, for only a 50 minute battle, it did it's job because that was entertaining to watch. In fact, this episode made me want to put in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

Some brutal deaths were shown with a guy getting his head crushed in with a small boulder, The Hound slicing people in half, The Hound having a panic attack at the sight of a burning victim, Stannis slicing off a soldier's skull, even Tyrion chopping off a guy's leg. But why did that one guy attack Tyrion? It looked like he was wearing Lannister colors (red) and had a crown on his chest plate so I thought it was a member of the King's Guard. I couldn't tell who it was due to that helmet so I was curious why he would turn on Tyrion, but figure it has something to do with Cersei wanting Tyrion dead and not surviving no matter the outcome of the battle.

Loras Tyrell showing up in the throne room followed by Tywin was pretty badass. Wonder what will become of Stannis now since all of his men fled and he was still on the wall. Sigh... one episode left. I expect it to focus on Dany and the House of the Undying.

I assumed Cersei punched Lancel where the arrow had been.

That was awesome, the comparisons to Helms Deep are clear, and that can only be a compliment.

Did... Tyrion just die?!

God damn I was hoping it was the Stark's that was riding towards King's Landing. I didn't expect it to be the Lannisters. But it was pretty badass nonetheless.

*bleep*ing great episode. Had me on the edge for every second. *bleep* I want to see the finale now.

Tyrion did awesome and what a episode. He showed major balls out there. I really hope he gets some credit for his action. Punk bitch Joffrey. God...and his dumbass mother. But what a episode. By far one of the best yet and it had me at the edge of my seat.

This show has showed great potential since day one, this might be the first time it's really paid off though. What a difference it makes to have all of the story taking place in one setting. It's stylistically unique from every other ep thus far without the skipping around and slower steps in narrative.

The battle was obviously fantastic, so glad I had 1080p for that wildfire bit. I think Dragonstone suffered a bit from lack of set up. Where's Melisandre? Or Salladhor the pirate? What became of Stannis at the end wasn't clear either. It looked like his own men were dragging him back with the retreat once Tywin showed up.

My favorite scenes were maybe Cersei becoming more and more drunken and filled with panic. The last couple dark shots of her in the throne room believing it to be the end were awesome.

This last episode is gonna be busy and I'm not sure that's a good thing. Theon's barely holding Winterfell, Dany still doesn't have her dragons back, Jon's a captive beyond the wall. Sooner or later someone's going to realize that this is not a 10 episode per year show.

It's funny how divisive it was. Pyromancer, Joffrey: delight. Tyrion, The Hound: solemn horror (and maybe a tinge of regret?). Stannis: no change whatsoever.

True, and I did read a rumour that the third book will be split into seasons 3 and 4 of the show, so the pacing should be much better if that is indeed the case.

The third book is split into two books anyway which are not that far off the length of the 1st and 2nd book so it's pretty much the same thing over again. Somebody made a good point about the funding for the show perhaps being the reason it's held to 10 episodes but either way, something needs to happen!

I'm mainly curious about what will happen to Stannis? As in, I don't know whether he was being taken away by his own people or not? I would naturally assume there would be a plan B involving Mellisandre but he looked pretty pissed and defeat there.
