So is he second season based on the second novel or are will still only part way through the fisrt novel?

Even though they delayed what happened to Ned, I reckon they can rush the ending of the first book in the next episode. Dany is pretty much there, as is Arya and Catelyn... Yeah, they can probably do it.

I dunno how they'll do it for later seasons though.

To be fair, I think they're gonna have to add more episodes to the seasons. There's a lot that goes on in books 2 and 3, none of which I really think is worth cutting... maybe a touch of Bran's stuff, but even he's pretty important.

I know right? That last scene will be the perfect ending to the season.

I reckon it'll still be Game of Thrones, as not everyone knows the book titles.

Mind you, they should call the series of A Feast for Crows,

I will admit, it wasn't as good as I thought it was. Not a lot happened with Robb or the Starks. I can't help but feel we got their ending with most of the cast and we were just doing a rap up. But this episode still kicked all kinds of ass. I can't help but feel maybe it was because my expectations were too high.

The episode did a perfect job at setting up the next season. Robb bides to take the throne and plans to not just go against the Lannisters but Stannis as well. We got a 3 way battle for the Iron Throne about to come underway and I can't help but think the rest of the Westeros will be dragged in as well. Jon and the Night's Watch ride north of the Wall to take on whatever is behind the wall. I'm glad he stayed. And I predicted correctly he wouldn't because the Night's Watch is too established and without him the story of the Night's Watch is nothing. Finally, Dany has lost everything. She has lost her husband and the Dorthraki horde. But she has new servants and dragons! That burning and emergence thing was *bleep*ing awesome! The whole thing was a way of saying she has become what she truly is: not a Khaleesi but Daenerys Targaryen the Dragon. Who needs an army when you have DRAGONS!


Is it spring yet?

S01E10 - "Fire and Blood" (Spoilers!)

I always wondered if the dragon eggs would come into a pivotal role with Dany or simply just continue to be a reminder of where her family once were atop the world. That was awesome to see her huddled in the ashes with the hatchlings and not just one Dragon, mother*bleep*ing three of them. I hope sometime later in the next series they grow up quickly and she burns King's Landings to the ground. Figuratively though, I just want her to invade, declare war and most importantly, I want to see Joffrey's head on a stake before Season 2 is over. Don't know how much of him I'll be able to tolerate in Season 2 because I flat out hate his whole character. Not just the character, the actor himself too. Not sure if the story jump in years between Books 1 and 2, but I hope all the actors remain the same in the next season.

Felt as a Season finale it wrapped up nicely but left us with much to ponder over the break, especially with that amazing cliffhanger, the Night's Watch going to investigate what's going on beyond the wall and of course all the bannermen declaring Robb Stark the new King of the North. And there some of you mocked me when I said he should lead an army against the Lannisters, and look at him now... King!

The wait until next year is going to be unbearable. True Blood Season 4 starts next week and the season better be good. Then Dexter Season 6 in the Fall, followed by all the other network shows coming back like The Big Bang Theory. It'll be unbearable, but at least I'll have other shows to pass the time by. Agree with Darknet, can't it just be Spring yet?

I do have one question to those who have read the book. I wondered why Dany was a true Targaryen and her brother wasn't. Was it explained further in the first book? This is the only book spoiler I want, so if this question pertains to something from Books 2-5, keep that shit to yourself and simply tell me to just keep watching the show and I'll get my answer in due time.

"do you lie awake at night fearing my gash?" is by far the line of the series.

I remember at the beginning of the series we saw those dragon eggs every episode and then i forgot all about them. The final scenes were amazing. Dragons.

Game of Thrones will be read over the summer, no doubt. Tempted to just beast the series.
