Mods' Corner

Hello TV Community. As you all have probably figured out by now, I'll be your new moderator. I thought it would be approriate to get a new Mod's Corner thread posted for Feedback, Suggestions, Requests, etc...

Echo has done a brilliant job keeping this place on track and I'm not going to be changing much.

One thing I will be more lenient on is Spoilers. If an episode has already aired, there's no need to put up spoiler tags (you can of course still do so if you want). The only time they are necessary is for unaired information you've dug up, anything from "scenes from next week," "next time on," etc..., and to be considerate to other parts of the world where certain episodes have yet to be aired.


Other than that there's a few cosmetic things I'd like to get the community's two cents on:

1. Thread Index -- since the search function is now working, the thread index has become obsolete. I'm planning on un-stickying it unless there's major objection.

2. Forum Header -- Since Summer's coming around, we're going to need to mix up the shows in the header. I've opened a thread specifically to discuss this. Forum Header Thread.

3. Neoseeker Spolight Show of the Month -- If people think it would be worth while, I'd like to have a "Show of the Month". The goal being to educate the forum about what certain shows are about and why pepole like them. Each month a different member could be responsible for one of their favorite TV Shows.

4. General Discussion -- I'm wary about this, but most big community forums like this one have a General Discussion thread of some sort and I'd be willing to try one out for a while if it's something everybody wants.

Anyway, that's all I can think of for now. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to make this place even better!

Suggestion: Please don't refer to yourself as BK. It makes me hungry.

I want a double cheeseburger and hold the lettuce. Don't be frontin' son, no seeds on the bun we be up in this drive-thru, order for two, I got a cravin' for a BK and that's what I'll do.

Must admit, it took me a while to get the reference...we don't have Burger King here. It's called Hungry Jacks instead (usually shortened to HJs).

Putting relevant quotations in the Thread Captions, but just for the shows I watch. If anyone wants to toss me a line to put under the other shows, just let me know (namely, True Blood, Doctor Who, Dexter,etc..).

And how about the line for Doctor Who "Lots of planets have a north!" always makes me laugh.

Or "Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks, 'Ooh, this could be a little more sonic'?"

I personally think we should use quotes from the Matt Smith Era since it's the most recent. So I was thinking either "Bowties are cool!" or "Geronimo!".

Alternatively one of the funnier quotes that I think most people, even if they aren't fans, will understand; Dalek: Would you care for some tea?

Where did the list of existing threads go?

It was created in response to Neoseeker's search function being inoperable. Since the Search function is working again, the Thread Index is kind of pointless.
