Yeah the message Eko given as his last words 'You're next' might be hinting at the deal with Jacob in that MIB will kill, all of them. To prove Jacob wrong if the only reason.

The MIB had a corporeal form in Christian. But he was a known dead man to Jack, besides, it would've been easier to act as the white rabbit at that time. Perhaps his plan to find a feesable coporeal from was forming at that time?

Perhaps it would've been harder to influence the outcomes had he made clear he was back to life like he did with Locke's 'resurrection' (Flocke for those also calling MIB smokey - don't like thoses derogatory terms).

I'm just still reeling off of the origin of the Others for Oceanic 815 survivors having been assumingly resolved.

And yeah, but Christian acted in the same way, looking back now he is a MAJOR red herring so far, we at first think of him as the form of the island, along with previous visions (Through Locke's beliefs that the visions are so). Yet now we learn of this Man In Black and how he has manipulated the characters and us. It genius!

And I always suspected Christian of being the smoke monster ever since Something Nice Back Home. Jack see's his vision by hearing a smoke detector go off in the reception. I though this was significant enough as this is exactly when Christian appears, sitting below it.
Anyone else also notice this?

Either way, the MIB has (so far) always wanted to find ways to kill Jacob, maybe when Oceanic 815 arrived, he found 'faith' in people like Locke (Walkabout) and decided to work this scheme to his advantage. I hate to speculate like this anyway, we don't actually know everything yet.

I also found it ironic how Micheal got shot in the left eye.

Thought 'The Package' was a decent episode, but by no means up to the standards of last week. I loved the line by Widmore that really made the episode good "It's not a what... it's a who". I knew then who it was and it's got me looking forward to next weeks episode a lot more!

I thought Widmore added a lot to this episode, his scene with Locke at the Sonic fence was also pretty sick. Loved how Locke addressed the "war" Widmore once predicted, I was starting to think it'd be forgotten.

Well ofcourse he did, he was more important to this episode thus providing us with more insight. But I couldn't agree more about the sonic fence scene, having Widmore and Locke meet like that in such a restricted way was really cool. The shot when Locke begins walking with Widmore's team just gave me goosebumps, as Widmore himself emerges from the bushes just to be there for the arrival of 'him' was just perfect. Both forces seperated by the very elephant in the room, the smoke monster.

And Bram did actually mention the 'war' to Miles in the episode Some Like It Hoth in S5 after telling him they were 'the good guys', so it wasn't totally forgotten. It was eerie that the Man In Black actually knew of this, despite Widmore and Ben's discrete conversation on the mainland.

What a send off it was too. I loved that little reference there.

It felt almost nostaligc seeing Mikheal and Keamy together like that, be it different circumstances. And just in case anyone hasn't seen this already, the writers had this to say about the concluding episodes, Lindelof released a statement that just rattles me: "Water". The end is coming...

I could have sworn he said "It's not a what, it's a hume" and i was like, yup.. it's desmond.

It was actually Widmore and Locke who had the conversation about the war, and as we already know, the MiB shares Locke's thoughts and memories, so it makes sense that he'd know what's what. Ah yes I had temporarily missed this. After Locke had transported to the mainland and met Widmore. Ah yes you're right. My bad. Must admit this time I sadly didn't re-watch all of the last seasons like I had done religiously beforehand. You should feel privilaged! What makes me so special? Because you are. Well we still don't technically know if Widmore foreseen the events to come giving this statement. Or just his knowledge of the candidates (Soon to be revealed come Happily Ever After)

Yeah my thoughts exactly, but the ambiguity of the statement itself is why its so exciting.

Keamy is always great, and seeing Mikhail again was an awesome throwback. It's interesting, the little villain club Darlton set up in the alt - Keamy, Omar, Mikhail - and Keamy mentioned in passing that Mikhail was "Danny's friend" - could that be Danny Pickett, the other that was hating on Sawyer during his time in the cages? I think it'd be pretty cool if it was.

What a correct observation this is. I love the connections their building with these subtle enigma codes. And in bringing Danny back what would that mean in the cause of these reappearences? Cuse has stated the relevance of the flash sideways to anyone put off is of 100 percent importance to finish the overall story of Lost. These villains are reappearing in an almost culmination of things happened in previous seasons.
