24: Day 8 - Page 10

Echo, they couldn't show you what happened after 7 cause this season is supposed to take place several months afterwards. It'd be a complete waste of time to talk about last day. we know what happened, there's not much to explain. Jack recovers thanks to his daughter, Tony is arrested and jailed for life for revenge, Daughter of president taylor jailed cause of being involved of jon voight(forgot his name on Day 7) death..etc.

You have to remember, Day 7 we didn't even know who the bad guy was. First we thought it was Dubaku, than general juma came in than Jon Voight, and than we learned later on it wasn't him it was another guy.

This season isn't any different. The people we thought was the big enemies aren't and it's a much deeper to a simple enemy.

The thing that sucks is, some people who watched all the days up until this new one can't just enjoy a great TV series. They psycho analyze the plot hoping for fresh new things yet realize the show has used up everything they could possibly do so last day feels like "I've seen this before, don't think it's a great day so far".

Do I miss the old CTU with Tony, Bill Buchanan? Hells yes I do, but I realized the show has to go on.
what I want to see more of is Jack being a badass doing anything it takes and Freddy stop being a bitch and go out and do something.

I dunno what you mean about 3 being a slow burn. 3 was taut with tension and bursting with action from beginning to end.

Why such a low grade for season 4? I would think the last arc of episodes alone would warrant it a higher spot on the list. Mostly agree with the rest, though.

In other news, I just saw the guy that portrayed Marcos, as well as James Badge Dale in a leading role, on HBO's new mini-series "The Pacific." It was pretty sick, I'd recommend checking it out.

Yeah, the whole bit leading up to the bomb I was thinking that there would be a little situation where somehow Dana tries to make the bomb go off to protect herself. I wasn't expecting it to be an EMP though, that was a nice surprise.

Overall a good episode I reckon, had a lot of tense moments.

When that main terrorist guy was on the phone to the other terrorist guy in the hotel, the one who had Hassan's daughter, I thought he said 'Almeida's on his way'.

Wait....Great episode? Literally ten minutes into this I called my dad (I watched it today on Hulu, he saw it last night) and asked if it got any better, because if it didn't then I was going to just turn it off. What the HELL happened at that hotel? Okay if NYPD has a tip about a terrorist hiding with a hostage like that, they LOCK IT DOWN! They have cops everywhere. And even if they want to keep quiet and just use SWAT or whatever, they send more than FIVE GUYS!!! And more than THREE would go up there! They'd have teams in every stairwell on either side of the hall probably even in the elevators, it was RIDICULOUS! And by the way, since when do 9 mills penetrate BODY ARMOR? Those SWAT guys were in full combat gear, and there were NOT any headshots! No blood/head wounds, plus the way they fell/reacted to getting it made them all look like body shots. Then he's got a free run down to the floor and only two SWAT guys are waiting for him. It was just pure BS. That taxi would never have been allowed inside the perimeter, which there would have been. Oh and they would've had pursuing cars the entire time they were in the car. Basically the total ludicy of the opening scene ruined the episode for me. Yes it's only one scene, but it's CRUCIAL to the main story plot. Oh and there were a bunch of holes, and contradictions between Dana and the PO, who I like, but I wish would just stop toying with her.

If that's your biggest concern with the episode, than that really doesn't say much against it. 24 has always been just a little bit on the unrealistic side (Wayne Palmer's presidency, the terrorists breaking into the White House last year) but you've just got to sit back, accept that, and enjoy the show. Something that I found much easier to do this week then previous ones.

But, could someone please tell me where the heck Presdent Taylor, her administration, and Renee Walker are? Are they sleeping, or something? Or just unimportant atm?

Same, my heart skipped a beat. Of course, it wouldn't have made much sense, but still. I got a little excited.

Also, despite his new, villainous ways, I still really like Terran. He could definitely prove to be a decent enemy for Jack, providing his inevitable death doesn't occur before their paths collide again.
