Yeah, tonights was a pretty damn good episode. I knew what the deal with Dave was, just didn't think they'd do it so soon. I figured it would happen after Kurt started dating Blaine, and he'd get jealous and confront him at that time, but I guess not.

If the whole anti-homophobia message that Glee is trying to get out to the public will be effective, it would be better if Kurt ended up with Dave and they were the prom King and Queen. Blaine's nice and all, but he's from a rival school. If they did the whole Kurt and Blaine dating, it would be exactly like the whole Rachel dating that guy from Vocal Adrenaline, only the characters are gay.

If Kurt helps Dave overcome his fears about being gay, and assists him to come out, they could be quite the formidable 'power couple'. And I thought a prom could only have a nominated King and Queen from the student body, and not outsiders. This being the case, again Dave is the logical choice.

Before I saw the episode I was all for Kurt and Blaine. But now I feel that Dave would be a better fit.

Some may argue that Kurt told him that he's not his type etc. But in the heat of the moment, of course you'd say something like that. I know if some guy was trying to beat me up, I'd probably say the exact same thing. Deep down, I think Kurt likes Dave. He just doesn't realise it yet. The reason he pushed Dave away when the guy swept in for a second kiss was because he was shocked at the receipt of the first one - as were many viewers. I know, I didn't see it coming...!

If you look at the way both Blaine and Kurt act, they are both feminine inclined. I think Kurt needs someone masculine to level him out. Someone to stand in for Finn and his father. Someone that will let him be who he is, but not mirror him, or try and mentor him. I think Dave is the perfect choice.

I am really excited to see what will eventuate.

All I know about the next episode is that Gwenyth Paltrow does a mash-up of Singin' in the Rain / Umbrella. I'm more excited for the latter as they actually take scenes from Rihanna's song and reenact them. ;D

^ Totally agree. While I'm a fan of the whole 'squash homophobia' deal, I do feel they're trying too hard with a lot of the topics. Everyone fell in love with the show for the songs and performances, and they're now focusing more on the storyline and not what we grew to love from them. Now, don't beat me up because of my storyline comment, but seriously, if you're going to create a musical, you need to focus a tad more on the music part, and not try to make 'ground breaking', 'envelope pushing', dramatic cinema.

Exactly why I said focus more of the music side of it. I didn't mean to throw in 8 songs an episode, but to make sure that the songs are actually relevant to what is happening. Some of the choices just baffle me, but I'm sure it's like you said, wanting artist recognition and sponsorship. I was quite hoping the show wouldn't get dragged into the typical money-making, tv mogel-esque garbage, but you never know.

Last night's episode was garbage. I'm so tired of the whole Terri thing, why do they keep bringing her back, and why do they keep making Mr. Shu look like such a tool when she's around? She is bat-shit crazy and really needs to piss off.

The songs were terrible, the whole food/health school lunch thing is overdone, Kurt is getting on my nerves with his over-the-top flaming homo act, which in turn makes me dislike Blaine for the same reasons. Dave is becoming mosquito-like, just buzzing in for a few seconds to annoy Kurt and leaving. And wtf @ that black guy (whatever his name was) even remotely showing some sort of interest in Mercedes. I'm sorry, I know that is super stereotypical that someone like that would have nothing to do with a girl like her, but that's essentially what this whole show is based on - exaggerated stereotypes.

Gwyneth Paltrow wasn't even that great. The character was interesting for all of 15 minutes, then she started to annoy me. Having her get the lead in half the songs was garbage as well, not to mention that mash-up of Umbrella/Singing In The Rain was terrible. I was excited to hear Umbrella, but then it was ruined with a mash-up.

Sigh... So bitter.

Apparently a lot of my friends liked it too. I honestly don't know why, I can't see it at all. I've essentially put that as my most hated episode.
