	Deadwood is (was) a one of a kind HBO western set in a gradually civilizing future South Dakota settlement. The language & decor were heavily researched to be as accurate to the 1880s as possible, so it's both heavily profane and literary. Timothy Olyphant stars playing basically the same lawman character he does on Justified except 100+ years earlier. Ian McShane gives a beast of a performance as a ruthless brothel owner and de-facto ruler. It's way good. ------------------- lifeadelica.com

	I busted out a season ranking of The Wire the other day. Haven't done one for The Sopranos in a while because it's been so long since those early seasons. 1 > 6-2 > 2 > 5 > 3 > 4 > 6-1 I like 5 a lot more than most other people. It is indeed the Buscemi season and although it's just biding time til the end and in some ways running in circles, the episode quality average is way high. And the ending stretch is one of my favorites ever, kudos for managing to stay in the dark after five years. Toby, I'll take you up on watching Damages. If you can go through The Wire & this show and still praise that, there must be something to it. ------------------- lifeadelica.com
