Hmm, I just thought of something. What if Jacob is locke? I mean lets say the only way of moving the island through time (like many of you have stated) that locke moves with the island. He travels back and he and I guess other people that might be with him are on the island and John becomes locke.

Kinda ironic don't you think. He doesn't go back with Sayid because he doesn't want to go back to the island anymore, but him staying on the boat could cause him to be trapt on the island.

I took it for granted that Jacob is the orderly in the hospital talking to Locke, the one that makes you think he's about to shove him down the stairs in his wheelchair. Something tells me Lost never serves up its secrets that readily though. Just seemed that way since it showed us that scene before Locke was about to enter the cabin, so I was waiting on Locke coming face to face with him but it never happened.

And he was helping niami with getting people ready to go to island. That wouldn't make sense.

if they are moving the island through time, where are they moving it to? past, im assuming? Locke could become Jacob then possibly?

that could also explain how when Hurley saw the cabin and someone's face popped up and scared him, and in close examination ppl thought it looked like Locke. and also how you cant really tell what Jacob looked like even when Locke was talking to him.

no, if i remember right, Ben could not see or hear Jacob, which is why he brought Locke with him, and Locke could see and hear him. only reason you couldnt see his face was cause it was dark. or maybe Ben could see Jacob. i dont know, Ben seemed to know that Jacob was in the rocking chair however, so maybe he could sense him or something.
