Werehound

Noob player here - just got his on a budget price and loving it!
That said, I've found myself stuck against Werehound in the Arena (level 41 I think). From the m \oment the battle starts, I just watch my AP plummet down to zero before I unceremoniously explode :-( I've tried matching his weapon type and using a heavy, well-armoured core but to no avail.
I'm confident I'll bury this sucker eventually ... but if anybody has any tips or tricks they'd like to share, that would be great.
Cheers!
PS: off topic ... my only real gripe with this game (apart from the controls ...) is the fact that you don't really get a sense of scale. What I mean is, it's hard to appreciate how big the ACs actually are, apart from in the odd cut scene - ie. they might as well be human-size 'battle bots'!
But all things considered, it's a classic :-)

werehound is easy go to the highway lvl and jump up and down and wait until he runs out of ammo or make a super-light weight missile boat and have fun werehound is hard for new players but after you beat him the arena gets alittle easyer but after you get use to the game its easy

Hey, welcome to the forum - here in the AC forums we always appreciate fesh meat .. uhh, blood .. . uhh, members!
Right first things said and done, a missle based tank platform is good for new players, but most people use a light-to-mid range bipedal AC, usually with a rifle or machine gun of some kind and missles/lazer cannon for the back slosts (the blade is obvious so why bother saying) - but basically, try to keep as mobile as possible, without draining your energy bar (i have problems with this myself recently) and wait until he runs out of his main ammunition, then turn around and past him with as much damaged as possible, and one thing ive learned - he is as suceptable to heat as you are, and while a flamer isnt the answer, if you can keep a bead on him with machine guns, you can take him down in no time.
While your here, check out the other games in the series, like armored core 2/another age, 3/silent line, nexus, nine breaker, last raven, formula front, and armored core 4 for the PS3, and dont forget the original AC titles on the playsation, armored core, project phantasma and master of arena.
See ya round!
