Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is still about two weeks away from its May 22 release date, but that won't stop Ubisoft and Red Storm from announcing some multiplayer DLC. The 'Arctic Strike' package will be available on July 3 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 (Pre-order now!), and cost 800MSP or $9.99 respectively.
What can gamers expect from this not quite launch DLC? Why, your standard muliplayer pack ingredients:
- New maps
- New game mode
- New Guerilla Mode co-op map
- 6 additional weapons
Ubisoft insists these weapons will give you the "supreme edge" over your enemies, though you'll likely be playing against gamers who also purchased the map pack. Basically that evens things out, I suppose.
As you can probably assume from the DLC pack's title, Arctic Strike will take place in a relatively cold environment -- from the streets of Moscow and far into the Arctic as well. Expect further details as we approach the game's launch... or maybe the DLC's launch, it's all very confusing.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be available May 22 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and then on PC June 12. The Arctic Strike DLC package will be available on June 2 for console's and has not been announced for PC as of yet. Let's hope it's not on-disc DLC, right?
