Steel Reign ,one of the early PS games,good to great for its time.Try quest on difficult but save all your laser supply for nasty airbourne threats,and gun towers.
The desert king is the most rounded of the bunch for quest ,and the special ion stream is powerful.I dont have anything against hover tanks they strafe,i just prefer a turret that moves left to right.
There are cheats for it,but i dont think anybody will ever read this

Yo numb thumb you lucky person you i have been searching for steel reign forever!!!!!!!!! i used to rent it at the local movie place but some @$$ wipe stole it 8( i want that game so bad i checked at every flea market and media-play in a 50 mile radius! do you know if there is anyone that would sell it to me i would gladly pay $25 used or new! i offered to buy the game off the movie place but they just laughed at me and i think i should have borrowed it without the thought of returning it LOL. o well that game had exceptional graphics (for ps 1) and it was hard but tha codes were fun too and the best tank was anaconda and guided missles are fun. o well hehe maybe they will re release it LOL i WISH. this game just makes me sick

Steel Reign rocks. I rented it a few times way back when, then lucked out and found it at a pawn shop. I wouldn't sell at any price, my fav psone game. I love the lasers, I like to set up tanks with lasers on both right and left.
Played it right to the end on an nonstop orgy or gaming.... about 36 hours. One really cool thing is being able to destroy so much unecessary stuff..... trees, traffic lights, whatever. I especially like the the parking lot "gate" that lowers in front of you (occupied city), right before you blow it, and the toll booth, away.........
I'd check ebay if you're looking for it.
