Ordinators trying to kill me

This isn't going to be much help, but I just kept on killing them. It wasn't a problem because my character could take them easily, I didn't get a bounty, and the armour's worth quite a lot of money.

Huh spoke too soon...as soon as I went into the Hall of Wisdom the ordinators set on me with a vengeance...an innocent bystander got slaghtered for which I had to pay 1000 gold and when I handed it over the Ordinator then tried to kill me. I cant go on like this...what a bummer....will have to do the whole Red Mountain thing again and this time not take the armour from the dead guy. Dont much go for stripping corpes anyway but that Indoril armour is gorgeous

What set that first Ordinator off was just the fact that you were wearing the Indoril armor. You must have spoken to him, as I believe that is required to trigger their animosity. Unfortunately, once you have incurred their wrath, there is no way (short of a series of console commands, that is) to make friends with them again. Even if you don't wear the armor again, or have it in your inventory, they are now set against you permanently, and will attack you on sight. This includes the Ordinators in Ghostgate, Molag Mar, and Vivec.

Now, there are some exceptions. There are Ordinators who have names, rather than being generic Ordinators. In my experience, those characters are not a part of the vendetta and will not attack you. It is only the generic Ordinators, the ones whose names show just as "Ordinator" when you interact with them, who will attack you on sight.

There is a way to stop them attacking if you are on PC. You can open the console and type in each of the following commands:

"ordinator_wander_hvault"->SetFight 30

Another alternative, as The Stig suggested, is just to kill them. They are good practice, and their armor and weapons are worth a ton of money. One thing to be wary of, though, is that when they attack you magically, they damage your attributes. It is nothing that can't be taken care of at a Temple shrine or an Imperial Cult altar, but it can be a hassle.

Ordinators are pushovers

However yes, there is a script on the Indoril Helmet and cuirass that turns on if you are wearing either of the two while talking to an ordinator...even high ordinators in Mournhold (Tribunal)

Once done it can't be undone I'm afraid (unless you have the PC version and do what Luddite suggested or simply take off the scripts via the CS)

However this is the easiest way to make money and the best way to train

I've played the game for 5 years and I am generally the curious and determined sort so if something is bugging me I will sit there and figure it out one way or another. That is where the construction set comes in, if I didn't get the question "so how do the ordinators know I'm wearing the armour" then I wouldn't have gone into the CS and spotted the scripts on the helmet and cuirass

As I say playing a game for a long time helps a lot but really being on a forum like this and discussing/helping others is how I learn. I lost count how many times others have helped me (especially Xenobird when I first started here back in 03)

Then again I'm off playing Oblivion and helping others there so I do lose memory from time to time with Morrowind and that is why I rely on Luddite, Eve, Stig and others to give the answers...I just generally give my opinion or clarify the information they give these days

I had the same problem with the imperial legion members. They wish to kill you because:
A) You kill over 6 of them within the space of one day (INGAME)
B)You interfired with one of the dead (your problem)
C) You stole from more than 2 members, with each a value over 250g, in the space of 1 day (ingame)
D) You harmed more than ten civilian in a city they inhabit (for example, Balmora, the Guard with kill you) in the space of one ingame week.

I'm afraid it's hard to stop without cheats.
Try and be a good citizen for more than 5 ingame years. (HARD)
Or....... Kill them all lol (easyish mwahahahaha )

Im getting that with Imperial guards...
I've got no bounty but those guys just dont like the sight of me living for some reason, what ever the town... No other faction of guard have a problem with me. Its just the imperial legion...
I read that bit about the Thieves guild, but if I have no bounty, what am I meant to do? Its like RPG Racism.
I can take them easy, but its just really annoying when I just want to stop off at a town and stock up.
I play xbox version, can anyone help?
