When I start morrowind, the Bethesda logo and the disclaimers start, but just before the main menu starts, the game totally closes, and the Windows "XYZ has stopped working" message appears.

I also get the message:
"Failed to create shader Shaders\FauxEMBM_Displace.vso
Error opening file Shaders\FauxEMBM_Displace.vso

I am running Vista Home Premium, have 2.8gig processor, directX 10, and my current video card is an Intel 910GL integrated card, but I am buying an ATI Radeon X1300 Pro from a friend. Is my problem a video card issue, and can it be fixed with my dreadful card (the Intel one not the ATI)?

EDIT: MY list of things I've tried: Compatability settings, patches, Admin Mode, etc.

Although I'm only guessing, an intelligent guess would be that Morrowind isn't 100% vista compatible, hence why the game won't run properly

That's just the thing though... Bethesda said that morrowind and it's expansions are 100% Vista compatable. Must be a bug in one of the expansions or something, cause morrowind runs fine without bloodmoon...

Maybe you installed the expansions in the wrong order? I know that causes some problems as well. (though I think the game wont start at all.)
I dont know the right order to install them, just try both.

The correct order of installing is Morrowind,Tribunal,Bloodmoon just did it lastweek however I'm using xp not vista.

I have a solution that could make the game run. My guess is that the game wasn't designed to run in any screen resolution. I found that changing the screen resolution to 800 x 600, made the game work.
