Yeah, either create a partition on a hard drive and install windows XP on it (I believe you can do this a certain way that doesn't wipe the contents of the drive, and just uses the empty space. Look it up.)

Or buy another hard drive and install XP on that. Vista is the devil.

Surely you must have a copy of XP, unless you only started using PCs after Vista was released...

Something about Vista not letting you install a snow texture file properly, and saying you have to change the user permissions in the install folder to let you do it properly. Then I think you have to copy the files manually.

I have the same issue as Jaw272, with Morrowind (of the GOTY) loading fine, but tribunal and bloodmoon not working. With Bloodmoon, I get a message: "Failed to load snowflake: Meshes\BM_Snow_01.nif", with Tribunal, it loads, I run the game- no error messages but you just never get to start the quest, (sleeping in Seyda Neen you don't get attacked by assassins, so on). I emailed Bethesda about it and they basically said since I'm on Vista & it's not meant for Vista, tough luck. On one hand I understand/agree, on the other, would be nice if they put a patch out to be able to run it on Vista. I have TES 3&4, but I come back to 3 more often. I have an XP and Vista, but the older XP needs more RAM getting crowded in there.
