im currently doing the bal molagmer quests and one of them wants me to steal Odral Helvi's copies of "a brief history of the empire" the problem is i was doing the house haluu quests and i stole them and sub sequentially sold them already. TO who i have no clue. So any other way to get these books?

While the four volumes of the Brief History of the Empire are very common, the set that Odral Helvi has are different. They are a special fancy set that is unique, and they do have their own unique item IDs in the game. For that reason, I suspect you cannot complete the quest without that specific set of books. You will need to visit the merchant's to whom you might have sold them and find them again.

If you are playing on PC, there are console commands you could use to add those items to your inventory if you just cannot find the original books and are desperate to complete the quest. The commands are shown below. But it would probably be a lot more fun to hunt down the originals and retrieve them. They don't call them quests for nothing!
