Tips and Tricks: Sleeping Dogs

Title.

Tip:

When racing or driving you can drift turn to make those sharp turns easier, but if you hit anything or turn to sharp than it costs you speed and momentum. You can keep up the speed if you drift and then use ram mid-drift.

For example, drift turn right then ram to the right as soon as you finish turning. Drive forward.

The added bonus to this is that you may actually end up ramming the other drivers so they lose speed, but you don't lose any speed that you haven't already lost by turning.

Tip:

If you are struggling with kill streaks, just get a car and drive into pedestrians. They count towards the streak. I have a kill streak of 29, currently.

Mine is 4.19mins I think.

When I was trying to beat Aeirou's time of 2.12mins I had a little trouble reaching 2mins. Not long after I beat 2.12 I got 4mins.

I got that clean drive by accident.. I was in a van.. god that thing was slow.

Tip:

If you're going for Gold Medals, repeat "The Wedding" for your fluid movement and disarm medals. The mission is quick and full of opportunity.

I might try that. I haven't got a single fluid movement and only 2 or 3 disarms..

You got 4:15 according to what I see when I see the stat pops up. Those pop ups are quite cool. I was driving to a mission when I noticed I was close to beating Aeirou' time of 2 minutes (someting) so I drove past the destination and just kept driving. Then your 4:15 appeared so I kept going. I was at 4:01 when some idiot cut across 2 lanes and hit me.

Here is a good one for taking out a large group of people, or for destroying a great number of cars, at once (this helps if you have the upgrade to steal shotguns from the trunks of police cruisers, but all you really need is a shotgun or grenade launcher, to make this work):

Acquire you weapon of choice (so far, I have only used the pump shotgun; but, I am pretty sure the grenade launcher would do even better). Then, while driving, aim the vehicle toward the group of thugs or cars that you no longer want to exist. Before hitting your target, jump from the vehicle and then shoot it with your weapon. You will then witness one of the largest explosions you have seen in the game’s regular story mode! It is massive, and does amazing damage!

I think the developers meant for this to be used strategically (I use it to clear thugs from around surveillance cameras, at drug busts, as one example), because the ability seems planned and deliberate. Have fun!
