Will there ever be a Colony Wars 4 (I realise that this forum is very inactive)? Is Psygnosis even still around? In my opinion, Colony Wars: Red Sun was absolutly horrible and did not even come close to comparing with the other two games (what were the developers thinking?). Did it kill the series?

Psynosis was assimilated into Playstation and no longer develops games. Many people from the Pysnosis team left and joined the company Warthog, who is responsible for Starlancer, Freelancer, and I think Wing Commander too. About a year ago, I heard rumors that a new game was being considered, but I don't think it will happen. Even if Red Sun had done as well as the first two, it was unlikely another game would be made. One of the reasons Red Sun was so bad is Playstation rushed it to release. Psynosis was disbanded before they could even finish the game and Midway had to finish it. The developers lost about 6 months time to work on the game. I didn't think Red Sun was very bad. It is still a colony wars game and that beats most other games in the genre. I still play it every year or so.
