My favorites are

Ancient Clasp
+1 Defense
+2 All primary Stats

Mithril Whetstone
Keeps weapons in perfect condition. +8 damage.

Ent Water
If you are knocked unconscious, Ent Water restores you to life with no penalty.

An easy way to get some Rare items easily is that when you go fight a boss such as the Fanghorn Troll, save the game and restart after you defeat it and take the items. Since it drops rare items, you will collect quite a lot of rare items until you find the ones you want. You can also sell the rare items too to make some more money to buy those whetstones.

i have a mithril whetstone, sting, decorated ancient pothel, moqueshel heavy cloak, sunstone choker, numenorean tempered scale mail, iron large shield, and a king's sollerets.

mithril whetstone= keeps weapons in perfect condition +8 damage

king's sollerets= +1 melee armor, +1 accuracy, +3 defense, +1 courage

sting= 4-7 damage, +5 orcslayer. unique.

numenorean tempered scale mail= +10 melee armor, +9 missle armor, +1 health

iron large shield= +35% shield block

moqueshel heavy cloak= +1 melee armor, +1 missle armor, +3 defense, +1 courage

decorated ancient pothelm= +1 melee armor, +12 critical armor, +1 accuracy, +1 courage

sunstone choker= +6 melee armor, +1 hitpoint regen

i also have 4 spare items that i like

glamdring= 6-12 damage, +3 2h damage, +5 orcslayer. unique.

moonruned cutlass= 3-6 damage, +3 fire damage, +1 spirit regen

shortsword of vengeance= 3-7 damage, +8 damage reflect

breastplate of barad-dur= +8 to orcs, +6 to nazgul, +12 melee armor, +12 missle armor, +8 accuracy, -1 defense

i would equip glamdring and the breastplate of barad-dur but im frodo and cant equip them

Legolas can't use the breastplate either.

I keep an ancient Choker with him too

i found some good stuff but i wanna know where at least Sting is.

Enemies will drop these items. The best thing to do is save the game before a boss and when you beat it take the items it dropped save the game again without going into the next area. Quit the game and keep doing this and you will get more rare items.

The only one I can remember off the top of my head goes to Aragorn (for sure; I haven't found it for other characters):

Scale Mail of Corruption: +8 Melee Armor/+8 Missile Armor/-30% Purity/+8 All Primary Stats

I don't use any corrupt abilities for Aragorn, yet I use Numenorian Blood, so the weakened purity doesn't affect him much (but the +8 boost does ).

yeah 4 aragorn i have(off the top of my head)

Flambard of Honor: 8-16 dmg, +2 2 all pimary stats, +20% purity

Smegols Heavy cloak: +3 melee armor, +1 missle armor, +5 strength, +3 defense, -20% purity

Sunstone Necklace: +5 melee armor, +1 strength, +1 hit point regen

there's other good stuff not worth mentioning or i can't use like

Axe of the Silver Dwarf: 7-13 dmg,WeaponMaster.Unique.

i think gimli is a secret charachter who can use this

Most of the stuff I have on Legolas isn't very good, except for this:

Elrond's Legacy- +18 damage, +2 to Health, +5 to Courage, Resist Corrupt 20%

I also have two 'Scrolls of Minis Tirith' equipped on Gandalf.

Only playing as Frodo has limited me so far but I have:

Ranger's Sandals:+20%speed
Mithril Wetstone, Scrolls of Minas Tirith(+3 to wisdom), Horn of Boromir(+10% to exp earned)

For Gandalf I HAD The Staff of Ages but I saved over it!!!

I've got a fair few items now as I am up to the Shallow Marshes.

Still with Frodo though.

For Legolas (at Helms Deep, 12, I am past the place where you break the latters if that helps) I have a few good things:

*Dragonscale Pothelm: +1 Melee Armor, +14 Critical Armor

*Gold Charm: +1 Stregth, +1 Health, +2 Courage

*Elven Cloak: +1 Melee Armor, +1 Missile Armor, +2 Accuracy, +2 Defense, +5% Speed

*Green Composite Bow: 8-16 Damage, +5 Fire Damage

*Fine Lorica: +10 Melee Armor, +9 Missile Armor

*Wood Elven Arrows: +2 Critical Shot

*Cheap Burglar's Sollerets: +1 Melee Armor, +1 Accuracy, +3 Defense

*Ordinary Whetstone: +2 Damage
