	With RPG/Adventure Section Moderator Krunal's approval I am starting the new lvl 99 Red Chocobo thread. Yes the Lvl 99 Red Chocobo does exist and is not a rumour. Once you have obtained the Treaty-Blade, go to Ozmone Plain and defeat at least six Chocobos. From that point on, there will be a 1 in 256 chance that a Lvl 99 Red Chocobo will appear when you enter Haulo Green. If it doesn't appear- and let's face it the chances are incredibly slim- you'll actually need to move two zones away to force the local monsters to respawn. However, if you're incredibly dedicated, or just preternaturally lucky, you may get to meet this truly unique foe. If you go one step further and defeat it, you can obtain a Ribbon: arguably the most precious and rare accessory in the entire game. Furthermore, you'll have the opportunity to steal a valuable item, such as Megalixir, and could receive a Gemsteel if you own the Knight's Monograph. You'll also be pleased to know that the Lvl 99 Red Chocobo can reappear once defeated. The Lvl 99 Red Chocobo stats and loot list is as follows: Lvl: 99 Hp: 239686 MP: 999 STR: 50 Magic Power: 41 Vitality: 71 Speed: 30 Attack Power: 104 Defence: 33 Magic Resistance: 39 Evasion: 19 EXP: 11949 LP: 50 CP: 3325 Weakness: Thunder, Water, and Holy. Immune: Petrify, Stop, Doom, Confuse, Reverse, Sleep, Blind, Poison, Silence, Oil, Disease, Immobilise, Sap, Slow, Beserk Augments: Safety, White Wind, No Knockback, Full-HP ATK+, Evade+, Counter+, If HP>50% Normal Damage+ and Counter Combo: 5 (17%) Poach: Pebble Steal: Elixir (common) Megalixir (uncommon) Empyreal Soul (rare) Drop: Ribbon (100%) Canopic Jar: High Arcana (90%) Monograph: Gemsteel (90%) This message was edited by Dark Titan Giga on Aug 23 2007. ------------------- Final Fantasy XII Forum

	It only has 50 strength. I'll beat it in no time. But to make it appear, do I have to chain Chocobo's. I still can't understand why in this game, I'm killing Chocobo's.

	I bet ribbon sells quite well. I have bubble belt on all of my characters. Status effects usually miss me, and I can remove them if they hit. The only time I ever wanted ribbon was versus Elder Wyrm, and even then, I got over it.

	Ok, I spawned my first lv. 99 red chocobo today. Only took about an hour and it dropped Ribbon, Gemsteel and High Arcana. Stole an elixir. This was my first try, I was probably very lucky since Ashe10 said he was lucky after over 4 and a half hour.

	Not only 'why'; but he also replied incorrectly. For whatever strange reason it sells for 5. However since it's not a very useful item I don't think I'll spend much time hunting the Red Chocobo. Especially since Ribbons are easier to find else ware.
