The following is a strategy guide for slaying behemoth king, Made by me.

Ive got 3 characters who are level 75, 78, and 81. Ive got Excalibur, tournesol, and masamune + genji gloves. the other 3 are level 40-. It took a while, but I owned him. The key is to have weapons with attack rating over 110/have a high chance of hitting multiple times. You need EVERY Spell. EVERY Technick. 99 X-Pots, just in case. So in other words, you need to be well ready. my boost spells were: Protect Bubble Bravery Shell Haste Faith. It sounds like a lot, but its WELL Needed. use a zodiac spear in place of Excalibur if you have it. ARMOR NEEDED FOR EVERYONE: Dragon armor or higher. Don't think about using a shield, Because he nullifies all evasion except for his own (Which is extremely low.) I suggest killing Fafnir before this mark. it should give you an idea of behemoth. Good luck. EXTRA: Once you kill him, there should be a wyrm snout in bur-omisace (The place that u fought bergan at). Make sure you have only one person in your party, and remove his/her weapon AND off hand. Strike the snout to get a rod of faith + 500,000 Gil. INFO FROM: The strategy guide.

Depending on how close you are you can manipulate this battle. Reverse decoy works well too. spamming zodiarks eclipse will work too, but take long. simple.

The BK is quite a hard hitter, I remember how I hated him more than Fafnir when I faced, although, something that never happened with me is that bastard was never able to KO more than one of my characters at a time, if you let him take control you all die, if you make him work overtime, he'll start doing stupid stuff and that is when you focus entirely on staying alive.

Well, for those of us who don't "cheat", it takes about 30 minutes to beat Fafnir.

I see nothing of how you're refering that as to a glitch.

BK is just a long a$$ fight not too difficult but quite a challenge still. Killed him using Penelo+Save the Queen sword+level 55 (yea, I know but I can't use any multi combo weaps because they'll kill you gradually) with Balthier and Fran as buffing agents. My tactic and gambit was quite simple to avoid unnecessary moves, I basically have curaga, phoenix and protectga and override hastes/bravery if you're getting comfy on the fight. I initially used dispel and expose casts before fighting BK (it's suicide if you don't) and I scattered my two long rangers and the main tank facing BK head on, kinda like a triangular shape positions and after 1 1/2 hours, I put this doggy to sleep.

1 1/2 to beat the BK is like me taking more than six hours to beat Yiazmat, geez, the BK is a short fight for me, only takes about ten minutes if you do the right things, plus, I had everyone at only level forty with crappy armor, but, two of them had Z-spears and one had a masamune.

Care to breakdown all what you've purportedly done to bring BK down? 10 minute fight with BK seem a little off from the realistic time frame, well at least based from what I've seen from seasoned players' videos. At least a feasible minimum time with the right quips and gambits at level 40 should be about at least 30 minutes, unless you cheated your way through the whole fight if there's any way to cheat.

so im in edge of reason and its clear no fiends, but no behemoth either, ive searched, and id hate to have to do this again.
