_________________________ - [Q] - How do Quickenings Work?
[A] - The equivalent of Overdrives/Limit Breaks in previous Final Fantasy games, Quickenings are FFXII's "Special Attacks".
Getting Quickenings Quickenings are spread all over the License Board, in total there are 18 of them on the board, however each character can only activate 3 of them. Which three they activate makes no difference, however once you activate it on the board for one character it will disappear from the other characters boards.
How they work Gaining your first Quickening will bring one new change, you will notice that when your MP is full it will start to glow. Your second Quickening will double your MP as well as splitting your MP into two. The third will triple your [original] MP and will split your MP bar further into three parts.
The split in the MP's are called "Mist Cart"'s short for Mist Cartridges, and the Quickenings use certain amounts of Mist Carts to be used. The first Quickening, uses one Cart, second uses two, and the third uses three. Using Quickenings will drain the whole cartridge, meaning that a level 3 Quickening will leave you with 0 MP and so it should ONLY be used in extreme emergencies (preferably near the end of the battles).
How do I do Combo's When you select a Quickening you will notice on the bottom right hand corner there will be the names of your three characters, and possibly a button (Triangle, Square, X) next to their names. Pressing the button will make that character carry out that particular Quickening themselves. If there's no buttons next to the names, press the R2 button to shuffle the list until the button symbol appears. To make matters worse, as the combo's go up, the time limit you have to choose the next combo goes down.

- [Q] - Why is my characters silence status not going away
[A] - If you equipped the Manufacted Nethicite, that's your problem, it may look good but it's downside is the constant silence status effect. Simply unequip the Nethicite and the status should be cured. If the status is still there after you've checked your equipped accessories, then simply go to a save point, use Vox or use Echo Herbs.
- [Q] - Why is my characters MP always 0
[A] - Once again this is the doing of a Nethicite. Unequip it and you will be able to gain MP again.
- [Q] - What loots should I sell?
[A] - You can sell all Loots besides 'Teleport Stones', 'Gyshal Greens' and 'Pythons Scaled Skin' as they have other uses.
- [Q] - I sold the Scaled Skin, can I still get the Barheim Key?
[A] - Yes, you can do the mission without the loot. The reward for the quest changes based on whether or not you have this item, but in either case you'll always be able to get the Key.
- [Q] - How do you open the final door, called Gigas Gate, after the star maze puzzle in the Feywood?
[A] - Simply summon Belias and touch the door, the Esper will take care of the door.
- [Q] - Do Bazaars remember what I sell? Does it matter when I sell things?
[A] - Typically, no. The bazaar will remember what you have sold in the past. With new items, or more of a current one, they will be added to the amount you have already sold and new items may come into the bazaar.
- [Q] - I am in Raithwall's Tomb, and the Waystones are not working for me. What's going on?
[A] - The Waystones will be activated when you find their partner in the correct section of the tomb. Upon finding them, you might see the jewel lodged in a nearby statue. Walk over, and touch the jewel.
Both sides will have a wall fall by half the first side, and the rest of the way the other side, both having combats when they are activated. It does not matter which side you chose to go down.
- [Q] - I'm in the Stilshrine of Meriam and can't proceed past the first part. What am I doing wrong?
[A] - In the Stilshrine, you must equip one of your characters (the lead one) with the Dawn Shard, and use that character to touch the pedestal. You will need it for a second one as well, but that will be the last time you need the Dawn Shard inside the Stilshrine.
- [Q] - Where can I get Telekinesis? What does it do?
[A] - The Telekinesis technick can be found in the Necrohol of Nabudis, in the area "Hall of Effulgent Light". It will be at the Northern most end and will not appear on the map. As for what it does, it allows for attacks on things flying with non-ranged weaponry. The official description is: Deal ranged damage with melee weapons.
