	Log in to remove this sponsored message Well I've done a lot in FFXII. I'm up to the Bahamut, defeated Gilgamesh fully. And have the Excalibur and Masamune. But what should I give my mage? A weapon like the Excalibur once I get the Tournesol or Staff of the Magi or Rod of Faith. I have a very strong party and could probably kill anything but Omega Mark II or Yiazmat. I would give them a good fight though

	If you're going to separate out the roles like that, I like my mages to be ranged so they don't get hit by all of the AoE spells that are cast on your tank. So I recommend giving them a gun like Fomalhaut (you can change the shot depending on the enemy's weakness) and cat ear hood.
