Yamato-Touch I think this thing is really cool! But, the only reason you would even get this thing is to play japanese games. Even though, this console looks awesome! I heard there were a couple problems with playing other NTSC-J games. Just thought I would show this to you guys. (And this shouldn't go in the IZJS Forum because it doesn't have anything to do with IZJS... except that it is from Japan.) This message was edited by JudgeBergan on Nov 15 2008.

Why do you people hate Japan? Without them, we would have the Final Fantasy series, like Kru said.

quote JudgeBerganthe thing i don't like is that they never release the neat stuff here [US] just a watered down version so it is more like a jealousy thing random thought: they need a ffXIII set that includes a ps3 multi-color, none black system

I was always jealous of that, too. Thats why I bought a Swap Magic so I can play FFX Int, FFX-2 Int + LM, and FFXII: IZJS.
That would be a good idea. ;D

Well all of them have english voice acting, but FFX-2 Int + LM, and FFXII: IZJS have Japanese text. FFX Int is completely in english.
Swap Magic is a device that allows you to play imports from Japan, Europe, et cetera on a US PS2. You would get a swap tool (Just a little hook card thing... you would have to look up what it looks like.), and a disk with the purchase. It works like this: you pop in the Swap Magic disk, you use the Swap Card to open the tray, you put in your import, you use the Swap Card to close the tray, you choose the appropiate settings for the region of the game, and then you play it! Pretty simple... takes less than 5 minutes.

quote JudgeBergan my brother been asking for FFXII: IZJS, but i don't think the Japanese text would go over well.... see i was always told a mode chip was involved to play imports, but that method looks simple.

Mod chips are like a permanent version of the Swap Magic.
And if you know FFXII really well, then you will have no problems navigating through the menus. Also, after a couple hours of gameplay, you just get used to it.
