I am unclear about the Necrophobe/Reaper method. I have tried it twice and LE still has not appeared even though GM said it worked every time for him.

Once I see that reapers are at the waystone, do I kill them after I clear out the Necrophobes? Also, do I need to clear every Necrophobe? I ask b/c at waystone 13, they just keep coming and don't seem to stop appearing.

I zone and I zone, always running from the Reapers, then have to kill more Necrophobe and LE has yet to appear. So has anyone besides GM gotten his method to work?

Guys I wonder if somebody can help me please. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

I kill all the Necrophobes at LG. I've checked really carefully. Larva Eater spawns no problem.

I kill him, then zone to LGS, and come back to XIV, and he is usually up, I kill again - chain 2.

I zone to LGS again. However at this point, I can't force a respawn even after several hours of zoning. At some point, Necrophobes start appearing in LGS again. Eventually I give up and kill them all, some 30-45 of them. This respawns LE.

So how do I get to chain him up? I'm sure I followed the instructions properly, but I can only luck out on a chain 2 if he respawns immediately, otherwise I have to kill Necrophobes to get him to spawn again....

That was a mistype. Its LGS that I kill everything at. I swear, I spent ages making sure there were no respawns. I killed approx 45, and no more appeared. I will try again and make triply sure that I get at least 5 divides while I do it.

Once you have spawned LE then the glitch is in place. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to clear the Necros, just allow 5 to divide. However, clearing the Necros is best as it makes your 2 zone run easier. If you killed LE and did a two zone and Necros appeared during the run through LGS then just ignore them. Go back to XIV and if LE is there kill him again or if he's not there just begin zoning once more.

Thank you SO much for the guide! I've got a question though: you say to chain the gargoyle barons up to the top chain level, but how do you know when you're at the top level?

in terms of chaining the gargoyle barons to the highest lvl, what specific # will I need to reach?...cheers

just out of curiosity...does chaining the gargoyle barons at the beginning before you enter the great crystal increase your chances of getting the danjuro?
