Got on Ile De Re to win the Northumberland Plate today @ Newcastle, got 9/2 last night already into 3/1 now.

Also The first at Newmarket is set for Michelangelo to smash it!

Big meetings this weekend, should be fun.

Had £10 e/w on Lutine Charlie yesterday at 6/1 and today I had £10 e/w on Lady Mango at 8/1.

Yesterdays was a guy who normally bets big and seems to always win so went for that one. Lady Mango was a horse that won a bit back when we had a problem with people laying off bets and it was one of those that won so that's why I went for it when I saw it was running. I do sometimes get a few good tips so I'll try and share them where possible.

For the July Cup on saturday I'm gonna suggest Power at around 10/1 depending on where you shop.

Think Newmarket is on C4 tomorrow, should be a good day.

Anybody have a general method they use for horses that works? I used to back mostly favourites but now I tend to back the 3rd or 4th favourites unless I think the favourite is going to win. Any good tipsters out there? Racing Post had Danedream today but I never find any luck with them normally.

surely you can't use never backing favourites as a policy. Generally if I don't have a favoured horse in the race I won't go near it. The Racing Post tippers are genrally shite, i have a browse but that's just to use the form guide. As for tippers Gary O'Brien is my favourite, he's made me quite a lot of money but i try to stay away from tippers tbh.

do you prefer the hunt or the flat?I'm much more into National Hunt because it's easier to compartmentialise because most of the focus is on the festivals. First two months of flat racing i generally stay away from because the horses are run so much it's much harder to predict, you'll notice a lot more shorter priced horse winning between now and october then you would in May.

Yesterday was all about Park Lane at Market Rasen for me. I think my heart nearly stopped when it stormed the finish after the last fence. Lovely little return on it too at 5/1.

Carlton House was an absolute disaster.

Moohajim, Nassau Storm and Dalkova cleaned up for me at Ascot, and Grafelli and Great Heavens at Curragh meant I had rather a nice day today!
