Hello and welcome back, to the 2011/2012 Neoseeker Betting Syndicate. For those of you who dont know, this is where teams go head to head to prove just who knows best. Basically, we have teams of 4's who each select a bet each week to form an accumulator in the hope of making some money.
This thread will be used for everyone to select their choices, discuss choices & to lynch anyone who lets the bet down! We will also be using it to keep check on how everyone is doing, both individually and as a team.
Rules:
No odds can be shorter than 1/2 You can not pick a bet from the same match as someone else in your team 3 strikes and your out
There will be no definitive deadline, I just ask you to get all your picks in as early as possible. Bets will not be accepted once one of your team's matches has kicked off.

A bit of housekeeping first. Unfortunately Memento Mori has called time on his bumpey journey in the NBS. Citing a breakdown in communication with captain Mocking Alvin as the main reason for leaving. Luckily we have found a replacement. MA, FSC, CR, meet your new member: The Power!
Now for the update... unfortunately I'm inbetween laptops at the moment, still transfering stuff and needing to set up Microsoft etc. so that's the primary reason behind another delay in the update, but hopefully I'll sort that soon.
As for this weeks pick, for now I'm gunna have a little go on: Ipswich vs Blackpool @ 6/4 .. although I thought the odds would be better, so I may come back to that.

Afternoon lads. This message is mostly for Team Five, but it won't hurt the rest of you to read it...
It's been a bit of a shit year for the NBS and I have to take my fair share of the blame. Updates have been sporadic, at best. But quite a few of you have let us down this year too. So for next year, not only will I have everything in place (With Luke's assistance hopefully - I'll speak to you at a later date), but I'll also be reducing this competition to 5 teams of 4. With a lot of people moving on, we have been having to rely on less reliable people, members who will go missing from time to time and get bored of the comp, so 4 of you will face the chop. Obviously the large majority of you are great. Easy to get hold of and rarely miss a week so I'm sure you'll be relieved to here, you'll be fine.
So in the meantime, if a member of your team appears to have disappeared, or forgotten to make a pick, could you help out and make one for them (for the team), as it's not really worth replacing people this late into the season when 4 will be leaving anyway.
Just wanted to keep you all up to date with that really. And let you know that an update is arriving very shortly. (Again, I know) But this time all I have to do is update the table. Shouldn't be too much of a big deal.

So those you posted must have already taken place prior and will all be on record. So you may have 4/5/6 whatever wins in total, but only 1 out of 12 for those 12 weeks I posted.
No worries The Power, I understand people have things going on outside their laptop, but when it comes to running this, we need the most reliable people possible. After high demand we upped the comp by 1 team, but this season more than most we've had plenty drop out, so just makes sense to reduce it again. Quality, not quantity as they say.

LfcSam I 9 I currently leads the way, despite a blip this week which allowed Mr Safety RizzyJay to draw level on wins with him. U_Turn is finding his feet again after a horrific mid season run and Luke225 plods along nicely, keeping hold of his coat tails. DanAndersonKRO is keeping himself within touching distance of the top as we enter the home straight, while The Realest should have a strong finish alongside Man Utd. The Shape could do with a couple of big wins in the next few weeks as his GD is currently letting him down. Despite missing a gazzillion weeks, FSC100 has someone remained over 50% alongside Chelsea's #1 fan Stu who pulled away with a nice 2/1 winner last weekend. Value whore wba_4_eva is giving everyone a beating in the profit column, but just can't find enough winners to worry the top of the table. Mocking Alvin is still struggling with second season syndrome as he fails to replicate his form of yesteryear. mnolan continues to provide more misses than hits in the Juplier League while his fellow manc jimbo_bwfc has had a little surge up the table of late. Two more struggling compared to previous years is DjedwardSmith & CaddyZx who are still waiting to find form. They better hurry, because the main man, lazio is right up behind them (n/h) with 5 straight wins. You have to believe DanielT would find himself in a higher position had he been given a full season, sitting on a 52% win ratio is no mean feat. non existent is another who likes his value, he's just been short of finding a few more. Much like his team D I O S is struggling at the bottom, only late comers save him from the relegation zone. PeterT_F_2018 went on a horrendous 11 losing streak lately, but bounced back with 2 straight wins, becoming a key figure in Team Six's two team wins. Sandwiched inbetween the two who get lost looking for this thread (Cowdenbeath rule & The Power) is newcomer Chappy_112 who will be looking to use his first win as the catalyst to become best of the rest.
