Mod creator David Block's work on the Witcher 2 user interface (UI) has become official: developer CD Projekt hired the guy and incorporated his mod into a newly released patch.
Boot the game or Steam now to grab it and test the new look, which touches on the minimap, alchemy, tooltips, sorting, trading, crafting, and more. See it in action in the screenshots above and below, courtesy of Keenan Weaver.
This isn't the first time CD Projekt has hired a mod creator. Modder "Flash" was hired on after the first Witcher game, following his excellent "Flash" mod, which featured detailed enemy wounds, harder difficulties, the ability to hide the HUD, and lots more -- notice you see all of these things in The Witcher 2.
