the Collegiate Program

The Collegiate Program is, apparently, some sort of place to make League-clubs for colleges. As far as I know, just colleges and not High schools or Middle schools.
Or homeschools. :<

Any of you college kids actually going to use this? Think this thing will be handy? Do you really want to know who else plays?

You really think it's a silly idea? I'm more siding with Lorx. It's brilliant.

My thinking isn't so much marketing from Riot - although it's a good point - but more to help players socialize. God knows gamers need to be more social (with me at the top of the list), and this will help that. I'm sure many schools already have a gaming club though, mine does, and I'm still too nervous/busy to go to it. Plus many of them I have on my friends list in-game, and they aren't some of the most competent players.

I always get a little "hey that looks like ______!" Whenever I'm drawing in one of my classes. And then I have to accept the friend request and then I get badgered to play a blind pick with someone who's just hit 30. I'd love to find a team of friends but everyone is either:
Too cocky for their own good (Omg Gold rank, silver scrubs)
Or just starting. And trust me, I love teaching people how to play, but when they treat it like Call of Duty (spawn, run, shoot, die, repeat) its aggravating.

Fantastic idea. A friend of mine wants to start it up at my University, with me helping him out.

Whether that will happen or not...Guess that's up to me. I'm pretty gosh darn set on my education and have to make sure League doesn't get in the way.
