They get caught up in the "optimal strategy". Soon they're spending turn after turn resetting that one move just so Rolf prepubpecent archer can get that goddamned last hit on the enemy boss so he can get that slightly better stat so he can end up slightly better than sexy Shion sniper, who by far is the more awesome manly character anyways. And soon, if you played the game right, your entire army will be full of these wimpy, annoying anime characters with slightly better stats than your awesome people you got from the start but with ten times the more work

Pre-promoted units have terrible stats.
Sure they started off with great stats in the beginning, but that's only so they can hold your hand in those early levels.
Their stats are those equivalent to units that promoted at level 8-9.
End game, the majority of the characters that you have to train will have over twice the average stats as the ones that start off strong.

Sure, running through the game with sexy Shinon is possible in the beginner difficulty, but in standard, it becomes a much greater challenge.
In hard mode, the chances of pre-promoted characters like Shinon and Titania being useful as anything but cannon fodder are slim.

Maybe it's just me, but I never felt that the entire point of the game was to disarm your three tankiest characters to trap the enemy boss with 3 hp so your crappiest archer can chip away at his health to get those levels. Felt like I was finding another game in the game, just less fun.

If you played it correctly youd just arena boost when you fight one of the blonde brothers. But if you really played it correctly, you didnt need to do either of them. But thats because ive played through fe7 at least 20 times at this point. Too good of a game to not play. And tbh the only reason i wouldnt go through it again is because i still know whos the better tiered characters . RNG never *bleep*ed me over though.

The proportions are actually quite good; the only issue is that the blocks that make up the clothes are all flat, but that can always be fixed with more time invested into sketching it. What matters is that the overall structure has the right perspective, which is the hardest step. Don't sell yourself short there.

There are four kinds of artists.

One the type that suck.

Two the type that suck but they took a lot of classes so you'll get strange things like a beautifully drawn coat, woman's face, and umbrella all in the same pic, but the proportions are all wrong, making it look grosteque. There's polish but they can't be bothered to get the basics right first. These people are also the type that like to spam up my facebook page with their crappy sketches and let all their friends circlejerk over how awesomely not beautiful/cute/hot it is, and how they should go into art school/main-gah/animation and how they all wish but not really that they could draw so good and if they could give them lessons yeah right.

Three the type that have natural talent but didn't invest heavily into the skill, so the underlying base stuff is good, but polish is hard to pull off. (that's you, Bluanimal)

Four the jerky jerks with the time money and talent to get really good and make like a portfolio or something.




*sigh*. Should have taken drawing classes. Lotta cute girls in those. Don't know what made me want to piss off to do something else instead.

I never specifically took Drawing classes, but I did do an Art Fundamentals class as well as Painting I and II.
