Imo, the whole point of playing her (this has changed insanely from 4-5 months ago) is to spam AP, get a bit of penetration, get almost max CDR and burst everyone hard. 	The thing is, to get the most out of your DFG you'll have to be very close to the enemy to activate it. It's fine with TF or Fizz or anyone else who knows they're going to be in someone's face, but from my understanding Lux is about kiting around their opponent and only moving in for the last few hits. ------------------- Have some music

	That and I don't know if Lux is actually bursty enough to make DFG...worth it anymore. You have to really have some good spike, or a lot of sustained damage, in order to make use of it. Lux is bursty to be sure, but I'm not sure if she can quite make enough use of it. Athene's however, very reliable. ------------------- [twitter]

	But Athene's give you 60 AP. Better invested in a DFG for damage if nothing else. I've never had mana issues outside of lane, and even then you're only going to have major mana issues if you're E farming. You aren't going to be near enough the enemy APC to make Athene's all that useful, unless they're Xerath. Then again, as noted, you aren't going to be close enough to use DFG safely. Idk. To me, on Lux it has become the more AP and penetration the better, with some CDR to make a mockery of the enemy carries every teamfight. ------------------- Sign up for League of Legends here! 	Lux isn't taken as a "SUPAR DAMAGEZ GO, HA!" mid, she's very support and poke oriented. Her shield, her range, that's kind of her thing. She's not taken to spike a champion, she's taken to be around and poke at people, keep teammates alive. DFG sucks at that. Athenes gives you decent survivability, a passive titled "You will never run out of mana ever", CDR to help with your poke/shield spam, and damage. Much better option, actually sits well with her kit and purpose. If you ever kill off the enemy ADC while playing Lux as...Lux, instead of playing her as Eve or Ahri, it's not because you got in any kind of range close enough for DFG, because Lux has no escape, it's because you landing a long range Q while they were low and smacked them with an ultimate. ------------------- [twitter]

	I'm still more inclined to increase her base mana pool, health and AP than Athene's. CDR Shoes > Lich Bane > Rabadon's > RoA/Hourglass > Rylais > Liandries seems a favourable build. I suggested Deathfire out of spite to Athene's. To be honest, there isn't really a "Lux" item. Lich Bane is good, but it isn't amazing especially when considered how much better it goes on Twisted Fate. Karthus: Archangel's. Brand: Liandries. Akali: Hextech Gunblade. 	I wouldn't say there isn't a "Lux" build. The reason being is that she's very versatile; you should build according to what your team needs. If your team is a poke comp and you're going to be sieging a lot, Chalice/Athene's is a perfect buy to keep your mana up over prolonged periods of time; Liandry's is good for adding that extra kick to your pokes. If you're up against a dive comp, get RoA or Rylai's to hopefully keep yourself alive. If your team is more assassinating/dive oriented, burst will go a long way to erasing that one member in a single team fight, so a NLR into even DFG or a Lich Bane makes perfect sense. Lastly, if your team needs support, build CDR + items like Mikael's, Shurelias, etc. -------------------

	Also, keep in mind if you're going to be tanky as a goal, Athenes > DFG every time. That MR it gives will only get stronger as you gain more HP. MR and Armor function as a percentage of your max health. Rylai would kind of blow on Lux I think. Slow wouldn't do anything on Q, since they're snared for the entire duration, the slow field is already a slow field, and shield can't hit enemies. So you'd be proc'ing Rylai with your ult, and that would basically be it. ------------------- [twitter]

	I always get an Athenes at some point with Lux, although rushing it isn't nearly as good anymore cause of the reduced AP. I typically do Chalice > Deathcap > Boots 2 > finish Athene, then her build goes all wacky from then on. She has a lot of options she can choose from and they're all pretty situational. Lichbane is great for tower pushing and if you have the ability to AA. DFG gives her nice CDR to get her close to the 40% cap and the on-use is nice, so it's a nice alternative to Lichbane. Zhonyas is Zhonyas. Void Staff if they're building MR. Going back to Athenes, it is still an amazing item considering most people bought the item for its insane mana regen and not so much for its AP. The nerf simply made it so that it wasn't a must-rush item, and for what it did it was pretty overpowered pre-nerf. Although I sometimes rush it if I can't rely on my blue or if I'm against a strong lane-pushing champion (Malz, Morg, Morde). Edit: Rylais does suck though, lol. Too costly and does almost nothing for Lux. Health isn't that great on her and even if you need it, Zhonyas or RoA would've been a better defensive item. -------------------

	Lich Bane and RoA give Lux more than enough mana though >.< Rabadon's and Zhonya's give her a great amount of AP and a nice defensive capability. Void Staff if handy if they're building a lot of MR. 	Lichbane doesn't give enough mana for its cost, and it won't do much in the early-mid game.There's no transition item to Lichbane that gives me the mana I need to push or constantly harass early on; a Sheen gives me only 200 mana, which is less than two Lucent Singularities at Rank 5 (and Sheen is pretty bad on Lux, not nearly as much damage as opposed to an AP item imo). RoA has a better transition with Catalyst, but Chalice > Deathcap does the job just as well, but also gives her a ton of AP, whereas RoA needs to build up the extra AP and still does't give her nearly as much AP. That, and neither Lichbane nor RoA give her CDR, whereas Athenes does. -------------------

(solo baron at level 14 lol) but Hextech Gunblade shouldn't be overlooked on Jax, especially with Reload, every single target auto attack or spell lowers the cool down by 1 second, with no downtime inbetween auto attacks. I can easily use gunblade's active twice in a 5v5 fight. So yeah. Both are great on Jax, I plan on building Gunblade still, although the early Bilgewater and BoRK allows you to drop a quick 300+ damage as well as a super slow on someone.
