I lost it soooo bad yesterday. It was the ranked match that was going to finally push my top rating. Other team first picked Kassadin and, having won the last 3 games with mer, my gut choice told me to pick Anivia since I probably outplay the Kass at 900 elo. Still, I decided to go fizz because championselect made me apprehensive. Turns out our corki and their fizz were afk. Sooo their Jax went mid and our Lee sin went bot. 3/4 of our team built tank and s/4 of their team built tank and we ended up losing every teamfight because Jarvan Ult+Sona Ult+Ezreal ult+Jax leapstrike aoe stun in a confined area=death. By the end of the game I was fuming with rage and I knew if I went with the bird then we would've won. :/ Moral of the story is that gaining elo is a catch 22: you gain it when you stop giving a *bleep* and when you put any amount of sentiment into it you preform worse. I cant imagine how the pros can perform at a professional level with real money on the line if I'm getting cheesed over a measely 23 virtual points.

GOOD NEWS THOUGH! I was worried I'd miss the first screening of The Hobbit, but my exam is on Monday rather than Friday, so I will indeed be able to make it >=D
