That's why he's so strong, he has few counters, but when he is countered, it hurts. Thankfully his two biggest counters get banned frequently.

I'd say #1 is jayce because of his ranges harass and disengage from your keep strike. But he's frequently banned, at least at my crappy ELO.

Next would be malphite but he's banned 99% of the time. He can easily be countered though with either lifesteal quints and an early vamp scepter, extra doran's blades if needed, or going AP Jax. (He won't be building much MR, while your ultimate will give you MR based on your AP)

Third would be teemo. I used to laugh about it, but if he goes AD and gets an early phage with doran's blades he can kite you allll day. I try and get a gank almost immediately to shut him down. If not ill go Heart of Gold and farm off of the tower and jungle as well.

Last "hard" counter I can think of is Yorick but the nerfs to his early game have helped. Another lane where I'm almost forced to grab a Gp/10 and extra Doran's blades. At level 6 though Jax gets a huuuge boost in damage output and you can start retaliating. Just make sure flash/leap strike is available once he's dead to get away from his ghost.

These are the only champions I've truly had trouble with. Most lanes are in Jax's favor, although a few lanes are all down to the skill level of the players.

Irelia counters Jax iirc.

1. He jumps in and deals that initial damage.
2. That damage makes her current HP lower than his
3. She stuns him
4. She walks away and regens like a boss
5. Return to step 1

Even if he doesn't jump, instead opting to run in with stun ready, she'll be able to do the same combo.

So irelia vs jax would probably turn into the battle of the farm then xD. Because, a smart irelia bides her time to trade hard, but a smart jax vs irelia wouldn't counter strike until she has blown her hiten style. I would say irelia has a higher base burst potential, and would trade well against an aggressive jax. Then again, I rarely play irelia, and I cannot use jax well .

Tomorrow is Friday, may be on and play 2 or 3 games late (10PM-ish), Saturday I am completely gone and then Sunday I'll try and do 4 or 5 games. Aiming for Gold Sunday or Monday.

Kind of how I feel about this . I've realised that I can't carry 2 or 3 idiots, but I can excel 4 idiots playing by supporting. Hence why I support. But I just wish that I could help people who can play, play better, as opposed to helping people that believe they can survive a 1v5 when they aren't mundo ...

It would appear you've had a good stroke of luck combined with your skill, thus have been on the fast track . Keep it up .

Maybe. I'm duo'ing with my friend of a long time. He's about 70 ELO below me and we work absolutely incredible together. But I'll happily play with you once 1500 is achieved. Does your friend want 1500 before the deadline?
