I guess i just have horrible luck because i always am last pick so i jsut pick what ever roll is left be because at low elo people always insta lock and call roles without even thinking about being countered. I usualy do fine in a ranked match but someone always feeds and afks and it is really stupid.

Yeah when i first started ranked i was on a 6 win streak and got to 1358 elo then out of no where all my team mates decided to suck. i will be honest though some games i didn't do so well but way to many times its my team being idiots.

Thinking that it is all my fault for being stuck at 100 wins is ridiculous. I can't count the number of wins I should have had, but my bottom and top lanes sucked while I was in mid (get into mid game with 5 - 1 - 0 and 100 CS and die miserably to fed top and bottom lanes). Or the jungler who didn't understand what his job was, and when he died in one gank goes AFK. Then there was the team of trolls who decided Tank Caitlyn was an awesome idea, Lil J was there for that one.

I play so frequently with 400 win plus people in Normals, that solo queue for me is silly business. I just have the worst luck in the world, and always get the worse teams possible that match my win/lose bracket.

You and I must be playing very different games, then, because it's never been so serious a problem for me that I had, so frequently, people who just didn't understand the fundamentals of the game.

It is that bad. I've managed almost 130 wins after solo queue grinding for two or three days, but there was so many loses in between and painful games. Too many people who are below my skill level that normally end up on my team, and then here I am trying my best but I'm not good enough to carry one or two players who don't know anything.

Then there are the games that I end up with players who make me think: "Why do I bother playing this game, again?" I could be doing good. I had a decent solo top game as Irelia once. I got decently fed...until our Jungler decided he wanted in on my lane...

And fed Darius...

After Darius killed our jungle a few times, and wandered into mid to kill our mid a few times I couldn't hold up against him, and the other lanes were too fed thanks to the kill lane comp that was going on in bot for our side being bad.

I have a lot of bad game stories to tell. Ones were I did good all the way into the start of midgame just to face a wall of 5 fed opponenents because they ate up my team mates. I'm not a friggin amazing player, but I am above the bracket in ability for what I get stuck in doing solo queue normals with. Only time I really lose hard in my bracket is when I get hard countered in blinds.

Can't count the number of times I decided to Riven Solo-Top and end up against someone with silly damage ignoring ability. Or Lux Mid just to face against a Caitlyn, or Ashe.

In the long run, League is a Team game. Even if I'm good, and my team is garbage, we will lose. Even if I sucked and my team was wonderful, we could still win. There's too many factors to League to blame it on one person.

A friend of mine has improved drastically, going from 1200-1400 elo, but now he's getting a constant pattern of W/L/W/L, and he blames it on trolls and nonsense, even though he's been whining about trolls since he started his climb.

I'm afraid to tell him, but I think that it's just because that's where his skill level is right now as a player, and he's too proud and what-not to take that to heart.

That's exactly it. I find it a little too convenient that almost everyone you see who complains about their elo blames it on other people. Like, sure, maybe sometimes, but all of the time your games are like that? Really? Kinda hard to believe.

Hate it when that happens.

Really though, I'd bitch a lot less about elo hell or my own elo if the games were actually fun. Games with trolls and afkers lose a lot of the fun. The last few games have actually been fun; we haven't won them all (and I'm still right around 900 at 30-ish games now) but our teams generally actually tried. Trolls/afkers/etc detract a lot from the fun of the game.
