i like leona, but pre-6 the cow does everything she does better. he sets up kills while also having sustain and burst damage that doesn't rely on his teammate. cow protects and counters ganks better. cow wins trades because of his heal, where leona is basically screwed if she sets up a kill and it doesn't work. leona has to go balls deep to get anything done, and if she can't get someone killed, she gets herself killed usually with absolutely no speed boost / get away / displacement to stop enemies from chasing her if she needs to run. she's too god damn risky, and it's not worth it when other champs do the same thing without putting themselves in so much danger. leona is frustrating as hell to play, because everything has to go perfectly or you're going to have a bad time.

Why no love for Galio? He's a pretty sturdy support unit that is an AD carry's best friend whilst countering mages well and a good team fighter.

Having no heal is annoying, but his ability to escape and feed kills as well as his incredible ability; Bulwark, I don't see why people don't see Galio as a powerful support. D:

Janna is apparently a tough support to play, but I never had much trouble with her compared to Karma. Key to playing Janna is to always be very, very safe. Don't extend past your carry unless it is to save his life. Your life as a support is to protect your carry, and your team, so if you can, sacrificing yourself for the carry is often a good idea.

Janna's shield is immensely powerful, her ability to shield turrets allows you to defend turrets well along with her knockup/knockback. Use piles of wards, like all the time, and spam Clairvoyance where you can. Janna's presence in team fights is arguably the strongest of almost any champion save Alistar. I think the hardest thing to use about Janna is the proper use of her Ultimate, and that skill is the main reason why I make Flash/CV the only options for Janna. Janna is also surprisingly good at ganks when she goes with another champ, given her knock up, tremendous slow and fast movement.

As for supports as a whole, I always get excited when I get the odd person who is appreciative of support. Most people just blame me when they die. >_>

Janna and Soraka are probably the best 0cs supports, but I have yet to try Lulu. If Karma is allowed to share farm/has a solo-lane in early mid game, she's a stupendous support. I have tried her with 0cs, and it was...okay. Not really much better. Her burst for a support is actually incredible, and she's actually pretty solid in team fights.

I don't have much else to say regarding supports, other than it's pretty thankless sometimes and works best when your teammates listen to you. I can't tell you how many times I've warded 3/4 of the main spots and then used CV on a bush, found the fed x champion ready to destroy them, and I signal like 3 times to be careful/to fall back, and...they do nothing. Supports shine when your teammates are willing to accept your support and cooperate with it. Sometimes it's almost better to give a champ summary in the beginning of the match so people know the gist of your champion.

Yeah, I learned that as well. The mana costs begin to outweigh the benefits early level 5 Q. Max shield or Zephyr first?

I'm so tired of playing as supports.

Every time I go into ranked, I'm shunted into support, because literally nobody else is willing to play the role.
And although I'm not a bad support, and I save lived dozens of times in the game its so incredibly boring to play them.
