Supports. We all know 'em. some of us love 'em (cough) some of us never want to play as 'em. but I think we can all agree they are a huge asset to the team.


So, Neo-Summoners, what supports do you like to play as/lane with?

What are your favorite duo lanes?

Any unconventional lanes you just love?

Personally, I main support in ranked. I often play as a support who can save teammates (Janna, Alistar, Leona.) rather than cookie cutters like Soraka (Who I kind of despise playing as unless it's with Ezreal.)

Personally, I love a good Ashe/Janna bot lane. Impossible to gank, safe to farm, and packs a punch late game. As for unconventional lanes, some of my best moments have been with my buddy as J4 and Pantheon.

I main support on my smurf account and I can support as literally anyone

I actually don't like support in the sense that League has them built up. Stack armor and health and aura items, screw AP. But AP is what makes the bubbles more bubbly and heals more outrageous. If my Carry dies, I don't want to be that sitting duck that's running back hoping my life bar and armor holds out to the enemy team.

I want that AP so I can defend myself and deal damage when my carry is down, or out of lane, and to support him with better heals. I'd also like to see a Sona that doesn't think it's their job to spam Q in the middle of a creep mob either. Had too many kills taken by a Sona that "Accidentally" hit Q or decided to sit around and auto attack the creeps. My experience with Sona players hasn't been the best.

But who cares, AP Sona is relevant now.

Anyway, this is cheesy but Graves + Soraka bot lane is my favourite. Graves can just push so hard with it. I can get a Graves fed at a rate of 100 CS per 10 minutes, and sometimes 5 kills to add to that. 2nd favourite is Soraka + Ezreal but with me as the ezreal.

Unconvential lane? Easy: kill lane bot: Akali (me) and Caitlyn. Unfortunately, that means that there isn't a support but it works .

Someone once told me: "Your job is too make your retard seem less retarded than theirs." I didn't want to put that though, because it's a bit brash.

Tiger go Meow that because most Sonas don't know how to play Sona. Of course she's the second to most faceroll support, but still. You can't really help carry a team with any of the sustain-y supports.

Fluroclad you should try out Olaf support. Trust me on this.

My first account on LoL is dedicated to buying every labeled "support" champ. I only need Lulu, Galio, Shen and Sona now. So I'm close to my goal. But I'll continue playing on it to buy the other non"support" champs like Blitz, Nunu, Alistar, etc, etc.

I like them all, but I'm best and favor Janna, Zilean and Karma. I never play AD carry cause I suck at it so I don't ever lane with anyone, lol. If I'm not supporting, I'm jungling. And if it's neither of those, I'm solotop.

Favorite duo lanes: Nunu/Vayne, Soraka/Graves, Soraka/Urgot, Janna/Ashe, Janna/Tris, Zilean/Tris, Karma/Ez, Zilean/Kog, Janna/Draven

Unconventional supports: Orianna, Nunu, and Viktor. I guess unconventional in general because I jungle Orianna occasionally, lol. My friends love it for some reason and they say they only trust me and my screwed up unviable-but-viable builds.

OMG, I need to buy janna. I played with her F2P a while ago, but I've been completing my rune pages since then "-_-. Janna <3.

i like leona, but pre-6 the cow does everything she does better. he sets up kills while also having sustain and burst damage that doesn't rely on his teammate. cow protects and counters ganks better. cow wins trades because of his heal, where leona is basically screwed if she sets up a kill and it doesn't work. leona has to go balls deep to get anything done, and if she can't get someone killed, she gets herself killed usually with absolutely no speed boost / get away / displacement to stop enemies from chasing her if she needs to run. she's too god damn risky, and it's not worth it when other champs do the same thing without putting themselves in so much danger. leona is frustrating as hell to play, because everything has to go perfectly or you're going to have a bad time.
